14 new medals for Syria, including 3 gold for Maan Asaad in the Arab Weightlifting Championship

Baghdad (ST): Syrian weightlifter Maan Asaad won three gold medals today in the Arab Weightlifting Championship currently being held in Iraq, with the wide participation of players from all Arab teams.

 

The Olympic weightlifter, Asaad, awarded our national team the three gold medals in competitions over 109 kg. 

Weightlifter Ahmed Al-Ali won three bronzes, Kamel Al-Asmar won six silvers in the weight above 102 kg and 109 kg, and Izz Al-Din Al-Ghafeer won two bronzes in the weight above 102 kg in the junior and youth categories. 

Our team player Jaafar Mia won two gold medals in the competitions of the junior and youth categories, a silver in total for the youth category, a bronze for the men’s category, and two bronze in the total for juniors and men.

On the second day, Ali Al-Helou won three silver medals in the 89-kg weight competitions and bronze in the youth category. Al-Miqdad Hassan won four bronze medals in the weight of 81 kg for the under-17 youth category.
