135 companies participate in the monthly shopping festival in Damascus Jalaa Hall

On July  second evening, 135 national industrial companies participated in the activities of the monthly “Made in Syria” shopping festival in its 138th session in Al-Jalaa Sports City in Damascus.

The Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside in cooperation with the imprint of Syrian youth launched the festival which continues until July 7.

The participating companies present offers and discounts of up to 30% on various food, textile and detergent products.

In a statement to reporters, a member of the board of directors of the Damascus and Rural Chamber of Industry and head of the festival’s organizing committee, Talal Qalaji, said that the aim of the festival is to market the product to the consumer directly, which contributes to providing discounts to citizens and reducing prices to be in line with purchasing power.

Qalaji said that the discounts at the festival reach up to 30% compared to markets.

For his part, a member of the Executive Office in Damascus Governorate, Faisal Sorour, considered that the festival has become a special tradition in times of Eid, especially as a result of the economic situation that everyone suffers from.

Sorour said that it is an opportunity to present local products at competitive prices and to present new ideas for various commodities.
