13 ISIL Terrorists Killed in Salahuddin Province

An Iraqi tribe clashed with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorists, and killed 13 terrorists in Balad district in Salahuddin province.

Iraqi Army Gaining Ground against ISIL in Anbar

Meanwhile, an Iraqi officer said government and popular forces are pressing ahead with a military offensive against the ISIL Takfiri terrorists in Western Iraq.

The Iraqi government forces, including the Air Force, as well as popular forces have embarked on a campaign to push further into the Western Anbar Province, an unnamed army officer said, press T.V reported Wednesday.

The Iraqi troops have already managed to flush out terrorists from the Northern regions of the Tigris River, the officer added.

Meanwhile, Iraqi forces have taken control of several key regions outside the Northern town of Amerli near the border with Diyala governorate.

Reports say the fighting has left five ISIL Takfiri snipers dead.

In recent weeks, the Takfiri ISIL militants have suffered severe losses as the Iraqi army and Kurdish Peshmerga forces go ahead with their offensive against the terrorists in several parts of the Arab country.

Iraqi Air Strike Targets ISIL Positions in Tikrit

On the other hand, Iraqi air force fighter jets targeted the positions of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorist group in Southern Tikrit, and killed a number of them.

The warplanes struck ISIL positions in al-Daluwiya, 80 km Southern Tikrit, destroying a number of their vehicles carrying militants and weapons, province said on Wednesday.
