1279 students from different Syrian governorates took part in the tests of the second stage of the Syrian Science Olympiad 2024 in mathematics, physics, chemistry, informatics and biology.
According to Distinction and Creativity Agency, the tests were held simultaneously in different governorates and they involved the 10th grade students as well as the top ranking junior and adolescent students who were qualified from the first stage tests.
Eng. Leen Qassem, Director of the Syrian Science Olympiad, said in a statement to SANA that the Syrian Science Olympiad is a wide opportunity for the students to develop their skills and performance, make brilliant achievements and build distinguished brave and responsible personalities scientifically, intellectually and behaviorally.
She explained that the top 50 students in each subject who succeed in the second stage will qualify for the final qualifying rounds, in addition to the 20 male and female students who qualify from the programming marathon competition for juniors and adolescents, indicating that the final qualifying rounds will be held during the midterm holiday.
