122 Arab and Foreign Companies Taking Part in Re-Build Syria Expo

DAMASCUS – Re-Build Syria expo kicked off on Wednesday at the Damascus New Fairground City, with the participation of 122 companies from 11 Arab and foreign countries.

The expo is organized by al-Bashiq Foundation for Exhibitions in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, SANA reported.

 The expo’s fields include equipment, machinery, materials, and techniques that needed for construction as well as covering other sectors relevant to reconstruction such as energy, health, education, agriculture, communications, water technology, insurance, real estate development, protection and safety systems, information, tourism, and food industries.

In a statement during the opening of the expo, Public Works and Housing Minister Hussein Arnous affirmed the importance of the new technologies offered by the participating companies, which will contribute to saving time, effort, and money in the areas where reconstruction process will take place.

He pointed to the considerable participation of companies from Arab and friendly countries that have expressed their willingness to contribute to the reconstruction process alongside the Syrian companies.

For his part, the General Director of al-Bashiq Foundation Tamer Yaghi said that the wide participation in the exhibition is because Syria is now being viewed as one of the most promising markets in which human resources and raw materials are available.
