120 companies participate in the festival “Made in Syria” in the city of Nabek

Damascus Countryside, (ST) – With the participation of more than 120 industrial companies, the 127th session of the monthly shopping festival “Made in Syria” was launched. The festival was organized by the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside in cooperation with the Damascus Countryside Chamber of Commerce in the city of Al-Nabek.

The participating companies in the festival, which will be held in the Nabek Sports Club hall until the first of next November, will display various commodities, food products, clothes and detergents.

 The festival offers free purchase vouchers to the families of the martyrs and prizes in addition to gold medals presented by the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside and the participating companies.

The head of the festival organizing committee, Talal Qala Ji, told SANA that this event achieved great success in all its sessions, the evidence is that it has reached  its  127th session. It aims to provide goods at reduced prices and discounts. He pointed out that the festival is served by the availability of  buses for the people, in addition to a  transporting company from  Damascus to Nabek and back.

For his part, the head of the Exhibitions Committee in the Damascus Countryside Chamber of Commerce, Louay Sari, said that the festival provides an opportunity for citizens in the Nabek and Qalamoun areas to obtain what they need from goods and products at reasonable prices. He pointed out that there is a plan to hold ten festivals in the countryside with the aim of reaching the largest segment of citizens in various regions.

Dr. Wissam Talib, head of the local council in the city of Al-Nabek, affirmed that the purpose of the festival is to build trust between the producer and the consumer, pointing out that the turnout is good from the first moment.

In turn, producer Younis Muhammad said that he has been participating in the festival since 2015 with men’s shoe products with discounts of up to 25 percent, while Ahmed Halawani, a sales manager in a detergent company, indicated that the company participated in all previous festival sessions and sells its products at the cost price of the factory.
