12 industrial facilities return to work and production in Adra al-Balad, in the countryside of Damascus
Damascus countryside (ST): With the efforts of their owners and the support of the state, 12 industrial establishments in the Adra al-Balad area in Damascus Countryside Governorate were able to return to work and production. They range in size between large, medium and small. They produce various types of chemical and food commodities, detergents, household and electrical appliances, lathes and other products that feed the local market and support the local economy.
The head of the local council in the town of Adra al-Balad, Mohi al-Thalji, explained in a statement to a news reporter that the town includes three industrial zones that include 80 various facilities, most of which were destroyed as a result of the terrorist war, and some of them returned to production, and there are 5 facilities that are still under rehabilitation.
Al-Thalji pointed out that there are non-industrial investment facilities recently created in Adra Al-Balad, and others in the process of being established, including a gas station whose mission is to secure fuel for gas transport vehicles that fill the substance from the Adra gas plant on a daily basis for the authorized persons, stressing that the local council has provided all services for these facilities.
The owners of some establishments that have regained their activity and work after their rehabilitation said that working conditions are difficult, but despite this they were able to stand up again with the help and support of the state, and their belief that Syria is the most durable and will return better than it was.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Habib Beitenjana Facilities in Syria, Jebran Saloni, pointed out that after continuous work, four factories have been restored, including detergents, conserves, olives, rice packaging, and other products distributed in the countryside of Damascus, Tartous, and Aleppo, and employing more than 250 workers.
