11 people are killed in a terrorist attack on a training ground in Belgorod, Russia

On October 15th, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that 11 people were killed and 15 wounded, as a result of a terrorist attack on a shooting range in the Russian Belgorod region.

“Two citizens of one of the Commonwealth of Independent States ( CIS) countries committed a terrorist act at the training ground in the Belgorod region,” the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry added that the two terrorists who carried out the attack were eliminated.

The ministry said: “The attack resulted in the death of 11 people, while 15 others with injuries of varying severity were taken to hospital.”

They indicated that the attack took place during a shooting training for volunteers who wanted to participate in the military operation in Ukraine, adding that “the attackers fired light weapons at members of one of the units.”
