10 workers were killed in a terrorist attack that targeted buses carrying workers in the Al-Tayem oil field

Deir Ezzour (ST): 10 workers were killed and two others were injured today as a result of a terrorist attack that targeted 3 buses carrying workers in the Al-Taym oil field in Deir Ezzour.

News reporter stated that the shift buses of workers in Al-Taym field at Al-Furat Company were targeted while they were on the move with a missile.

The Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Eng. Bassam Tohme, said in a telephone conversation with the Syrian channel: The Syrian people are suffering from an oil crisis, and the American occupation, through its puppets and terrorist groups, wants to cut off the available oil that secures the minimum needs of the Syrian people, and that is why they carried out this blatant attack on cars of workers in the field of Al-Taym.

Minister Tohme indicated that the injured as a result of the terrorist attack were transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment, amid intensive follow-up of their health status.

The Minister of Oil affirmed that the repeated US occupation attacks on the oil sector aim to tighten the siege on the Syrian people, as Washington has not stopped imposing all kinds of coercive measures on Syria, aimed at killing all forms of life by targeting oil unloading terminals, fields, oil tankers, workers, and so on.
