10 Lebanese firefighters martyred in Israeli airstrike on the town of Baraasheet

The Israeli enemy on Monday committed a new massacre and a war crime by targeting Lebanese firefighters, following a brutal raid on the building of the Union of Municipalities of Bint Jbeil in the southern Lebanese town of Barasheet.

The Lebanese National News Agency quoted the Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health in the caretaker government as saying: “A barbaric raid by the Israeli enemy on the building of the Union of Municipalities of Bint Jbeil in the town of Barasheet led to the martyrdom of at least 10 firefighters who were present in the building preparing to embark on their rescue missions,” adding: “the removal of the rubble of the largely destroyed building is still ongoing, which may increase the death toll.”

The Lebanese Health Ministry’s statement affirmed that the Israeli enemy added to its long record of criminality an additional war crime against firefighters and ambulance workers in south Lebanon, displaying unparalleled violence and inhumanity by targeting people carrying out humanitarian and rescue missions.

The Israeli enemy forces continue their brutal attacks on medical and rescue centers in Lebanon. 73 medical personnel were martyred according to statistics from the World Health Organization the day before yesterday.
