Syria participates in the 24th session of UNWTO

MADRID, Nov 30, (ST)-Syria participates in the  activities of the 24th  session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), which kicked off today in  Madrid.
The UNWTO’s activities include the meetings of the committees of “Tourism and Sustainability”, Tourism and Competition” and “Tourism and Online Education” and they will last until the 3rd of December, according to the Syrian Arab News agency (SANA).
The agency quoted the Minister of Tourism Muhammad Rami Radwan Martini as saying to European media that normal life  has returned to many historical places and archaeological markets that are popular to Europeans.
Martini stressed the continued work  to restore brightness to these places as part of the recovery of the tourism sector in Syria.
“ Besides the return of security and stability to Syria, the work on rehabilitating tourist facilities continues in order to put them into service, in addition to the opening of new ones,” the minister stated.
He pointed out that the ministry is also working on training and rehabilitating the young generation to be able to work in the tourism market.
