Syria Wins Gold and Bronze Medals in Asia International Children Sports in Russia

MOSCOW- Syrian athlete Loris Dannon on Monday won the gold medal in the 800 race within the Asian International Children Sports Games hosted by Sakha Yakutia Republic in Russia, SANA reported.

Dannon, who earlier won the silver medal in 1,500 race, finished the race in 2,11 minutes.

Athlete Alisa Taqi Eddin ranked third and got the bronze medal in 100 meters hurdles.

Syrian Athlete Wins Silver Medal in Asia International Children Sports in Russia

 MOSCOW- Syrian athlete Loris Danoon won the silver medal in 1,500 race within the Asian International children Sports Games hosted by Sakha (Yakutia) Republic in Russia, according to SANA.

Danoon who achieved the first medal for Syria in the competitions, finished the race in 4,44 minutes with 2 seconds behind the Chinese player which ranked 1st.

Syrian Ghazal wins gold medal at Barcelona International Forum

Madrid – Syria’s Majd Eddin Ghazal won a gold medal in the high jump event (233 cm) at the currently held Barcelona International Forum.

Ghazal is a member of the Syrian national athletics team and he is preparing and training in Spain for participation in Rio de Janeiro 2016 Summer Olympic Games, due to be held on August 15th.

Gymnast Darwish wins bronze in International Kazakhstan Championship

 

Astana – Syrian rhythmic gymnast Laila Darwish ranked third in International Kazakhstan Championship held in Almaty in Kazakhstan and won a bronze medal with the participation of prominent gymnasts from (Uzbekistan, Russia, the DPRK, Kyrgyzstan, Syria, and Kazakhstan).

Ghufran Mohammad wins gold medal in Kazakhstan

 

Astana, SANA – Syrian athlete Ghufran Mohammad won the gold medal in the 400m hurdle race (58.24 sec) in the International Athletics Championships held in Almaty in Kazakhstan.

Coach Belal al-Halabi  said that the competition was strong and the winner’s name was not decided until the final meters, noting that this participation is important for Ghufran Mohammad to prepare for the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics due to be held next August, SANA reported.
