The talks during the meeting dealt with issues of common interest, according to the Syrian News Agency (SANA).
The agency said that the two sides asserted their determination to continue bilateral cooperation and to exert efforts to reach solutions to all problems that have been caused by the policies of some western countries against Syria.
The Russian delegation affirmed that their country supports Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity. They in addition asserted that Moscow rejects any step or measure violating this sovereignty and affecting the efforts being exerted to end the war on Syria and to eliminate the remnant terrorist groups.
