President Al-Assad Stresses Need to Enhance Political Work to Fortify Anti-Terrorism Axis

DAMASCUS, (ST)- President Bashar Al-Assad  has stressed the importance of enhancing political work in parallel with efforts to defeat terrorism as to fortify and widen the anti-terrorism axis in the confrontation of the opposite axis which keeps trying to spread chaos and use terrorism as a tool to achieve its interests.  

President Al-Assad made the remarks during his meeting Thursday with an official Iranian delegation led by Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security at the Iranian Shoura Council Alaeddin Boroujerdi.

Talks dealt with the latest developments of the war on terrorism as well as the regional and international developments which can't be separated from the ongoing war on terrorism in Syria.

President Al-Assad: Countries that Supported Syrians' War against Terrorism to Have Priority in Syria’s Reconstruction

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Victories being achieved by the Syrian Arab Army on terrorism with the help of friendly countries, especially Russia, and the restoration of security and stability to several liberated areas have paved the way for speeding up the economic wheel and for the start of reconstruction in the country, President Bashar Al-Assad has stressed, pointing out that it is normal for countries which supported the Syrian people in their war against terrorism, to have priority as regards participation in Syria’s reconstruction process.

President Al-Assad: Majority of Arab Peoples Support the Syrians against Terrorism

DAMASCUS, (ST)- President Bashar Al-Assad has stressed that visits by Arab popular delegations to Syria have special and great meaning for the Syrian people, particularly as the majority of Arab peoples back the Syrians in the face of terrorism, bloodshed and destruction, whereas the Arab regimes, which have backed and funded the terrorism hitting Syria, are not worth mentioning compared to this majority.

The president made the remarks during a meeting on Saturday with a Mauritanian parliamentary delegation representing some Mauritanian parties and led by leader of the Mauritanian Ravah (welfare) Party Mohamed Ould Vall.

President Al-Assad: Christians in Syria are not Guests or Migrant Birds

DAMASCUS, (ST)- President Bashar Al-Assad has stressed that  the strength of eastern Christians stems from their living in full integration with other religions in the region in general and in Syria in particular.

President Al-Assad made the remarks during his meeting on Sunday with participants in the Syriac Youth General Gathering -Syria 2017 in the presence of Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for Syriac Orthodox Mor Ignatius Aphrem II and a number of patriarchs and archbishops.

"Syria is a homogeneous country and Christianity in our region is targeted as to disrupt this homogeneity and to divide the region into sectarian and religious states with the purpose of legalizing the existence of a Jewish state in occupied Palestine; a scheme that won't be accepted by any Syrian," said President Al-Assad.

President Al-Assad: Some Western Governments Still Supporting Terrorist Organizations in Syria

DAMASCUS, (ST)- President Bashar Al-Assad has stressed that some western governments are still supporting terrorist organizations in Syria both directly and indirectly despite their suffering from terrorism which has begun to hit back in their countries.

The president made the remarks during his meeting on Sunday with an Italian parliamentary delegation led by Senator Paolo Romani, Head of the Italian Delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

Talks during the meeting dealt with the latest developments in Syria under the ongoing terrorist war imposed on the Syrian people, the delegation's impression about what they saw during their visits to several liberated areas, in addition to the negative and misleading image presented in the western media about Syria during the war.
