President Al-Assad triples fund for external study

DAMASCUS, Jan.16, (ST)-President Bashar Al-Assad issued on Sunday instructions on tripling the fund for external study  for the children of martyrs and completely disabled military personnel as well as for the children of  missing people, who have been absent for 4 years .

Presidential decree grants workers in public cancer hospitals extra compensations

President Bashar Al-Assad on Saturday issued Legislative Decree No. 2 which grants employees in the public cancer hospitals extra compensations for the nature of their work based on their current monthly salary.

The compensation is between 20-65% of the salary in accordance with the nature of the work.

Workers in the departments of radiotherapy, nuclear medicine, chemotherapy, stem cell transplantation and the medical physics are covered in this decree.

President Al-Assad to Iranian minister: Setting up new projects is important

DAMASCUS, Jan.12, (ST)- President Bashar Al-Assad received on Wednesday Iranian delegation headed by Chairman of the Iranian side in the Syrian-Iranian Economic Committee Rostam Ghasemi, who occupies the position of the Minister of Road and Urban Development in Iran. 
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the talks between the two sides dealt with bilateral relations between Syria and Iran in the economic field. 

Ambassador Sabbagh participates in the inauguration ceremony of the elected President of Nicaragua

Managua, (ST) - On behalf of President Bashar Al-Assad and the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ambassador Bassam Sabbagh, Permanent Representative to the United Nations and non-resident Ambassador to Nicaragua, congratulated Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega on his re-election for a new presidential term.

This came during the inauguration ceremony of President Ortega and the constitutional oath, which was held yesterday in the National Assembly Square in the capital, Managua, with the participation of local and international people, and in the presence of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez, Iranian Vice President and Special Envoy of the Chinese President and representatives of heads of governments of other countries.

A telephone message from President Assad to the president of Mauritania through Dr. Mikdad

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr .Mikdad carried out a telephone call with the Mauritanian Foreign Minister Cheikh Ahmad
Minister Mikdad conveyed a message from President Al Assad to the President of Mauritania Gazwani asking about his health and wishing him a speedy recovery from COVID-19.President Al Assad also hoped for prosperity for the people of Mauritania
In addition ,Dr Mikdad discussed with his counterpart bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them.
