Foreign Troops, Illegally Working in Syria, Should Leave: Zasypkin

BEIRUT, (ST)-Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin has affirmed that all foreign forces illegally working in Syria should leave, urging more efforts to restore security and stability in Syria and to maintain the sovereignty of the state.

In a reception held in Beirut Monday evening marking Russia’s National Day, Zasypkin said the Syrian Arab army and its allies, including Russia, have foiled the global terrorist conspiracy hatched on Syria, reiterating the need to completely uproot terrorism from the country.

 He added his country practiced a constructive policy that aims at finding peaceful and political solutions to conflicts, at eliminating terrorism, protecting the legitimate rights of peoples and preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries.
