Palestinian Group Raps Arab League's Decision to Swap Land with Zionist entity

The People's Front for the Liberation of Palestine lashed out at the recently declared decision by the Arab League ministers to swap land with the Zionist regime of Israel, warning that the AL has consented to the plan in a move to coax the US into military intervention in Syria.

"We condemn the agreement of the Arab Peace Plan's board of ministers on the modification of the plan and their agreement with the modification of the June 4, 1967 borders through implementing land swap with the Quds occupying regime," the People's Front for the Liberation of Palestine said in a statement on Wednesday.

The new political privileges that the Arab League has presented to Israel are not what the Palestinian and Arab nations want, the statement said.

The Arab League seeks to coax the US and the Zionist regime into military intervention in Syria by making such dangerous concessions to them, it added.

The Arab League modified its peace proposal for the conflict in Palestine to include support for land-swaps between Israel and the Palestinians.

Land-swap proposals have been brought up before, most often in the context of Israel using such a proposal to "expel" the Arab villages(occupied in 1948) into a new Palestinian state while keeping the large settlement blocs in the West Bank.

Ahmadinejad Warns of Enemies' Plots to Create Insecurity in Region

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned of the world powers' plots to create insecurity and sectarian war in the region.

"The arrogant powers are seeking to create insecurity in the region and stir sectarian and religious strife and war among the nations which are making progress," Ahmadinejad said, addressing a large number of people in the Northern city of Rasht on Wednesday.

He warned that the western powers and their allies plot to spark war in Eastern Asia, and said, "They want to prevent countries' progress and plunder their wealth."

"They want to kill people and Muslims with the help of petrol dollars and modern weapons in order to weaken us so much that they can dominate us again and settle their own problems," Ahmadinejad said.

In relevant remarks in August 2012, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in a meeting with Indonesian Vice-President Boediono in Tehran warned of the plots hatched by certain powers to stir religious and sectarian strife in Muslim nations.

During the meeting held on the sidelines of the 16th heads-of-state summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) here in Tehran at the time, the Supreme Leader cautioned against the dangerous attempts made to sow discord and stir clashes between different religious sects in the Muslim nations, specially between the Shiite and Sunni Muslims, and said, "These actions are carried out through the support of certain powers and by means of their hirelings, whose instances can be seen in Afghanistan and Pakistan now."

"The Al-Qaeda and the Taliban were created with the support of the US allies in the region, while the US is bombing countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan under the pretext of fighting them," said the Leader, and added, "But their main goal is hegemony over these countries."

He further warned the Indonesian official to take precautions about such dangerous plots against Muslims in Indonesia, Egypt and Libya, and underlined the necessity of increased cooperation among Islamic states.

Jordanian Political, Military Figures Protest against US Army Presence

A large number of Jordanian political and military figures in a statement underlined their opposition to the presence of the US forces in their country, and said Jordan will not be turned into a base for aggression against Syria, according to FNA.

"Attempts to involve Jordan in a military attack against Syria are a plot to destroy the country and push the Syrian and Jordanian armies into direct confrontation," a statement by the Jordanian figures said on Wednesday.

"The US and Israel accompanied by the oppressor powers of certain Gulf states are striving to engage Jordan in certain plans which run counter to our nation's will," it added.

The Jordanian figures called on the government to provide the ground for the withdrawal of the US forces from their country.

Iran has also warned the US against its decision to deploy hundreds of military forces in Jordan to support the opposition groups in Syria, and said any foreign intervention in the Muslim country will harm the Syrian people.

"Any measure in line with military activities and military intervention in Syria will be against the Syrian people's interests," Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said in a weekly press conference in Tehran last month.

He reiterated that the only solution to the Syrian crisis is non-interference of the foreign states in the country.

US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said on April 17 that Washington is sending 200 troops to Jordan to help contain the violence in Syria, fueling speculations that the US is setting the stage for an intervention in the Arab country.

Salihi Warns against Spread of crisis in Syria to Entire Region

Iran Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi underlined the necessity for the settlement of  crisis in Syria by the country's people, and warned against the spread of the crisis to all parts of the Middle East, according to FNA.

Salehi made the remarks addressing the 'Muslim Ulema (religious scholars) and Islamic Awakening' conference in Tehran.

"What is currently going on in Syria as an important country in the region is a threat which would pose a serious challenge to tranquility and security of the entire region," the Iranian foreign minister said.

He noted that the solution to the crisis in Syria is merely political, and warned that any move against that direction would further complicate the situation.

"Since the very beginning of the crisis in Syria, the Islamic Republic of Iran called for an end to the conflict and the restoration of calm in this country, and supported democracy and increased people's role in political and social decision-making," Salehi added.

The two-day conference of 'Muslim Ulema (religious scholars) and Islamic Awakening' was attended by over 500 Iranian and 200 foreign scholars.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border guards being reported across the country.

The US and its western and regional allies have long sought to topple the Syrian government. Media reports said that the terrorist groups in Syria have received significantly more and better weapons in recent weeks, a crime paid for by the Gulf Arab states and coordinated by the United States.

Iranian VP Blasts West, Arab States for Supporting Terrorists in Syria

Iranian Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi lashed out at the West and certain Arab states for supporting the armed gangs  fighting against the government of Syria.

Rahimi made the remarks in a telephone conversation with Syrian Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi on Tuesday, according to FNA.

"Responsibility for such terrorist operations lie with the governments supporting terrorists in Syria," the Iranian vice-president said.

The Syrian prime minister, for his part, thanked Iran for its support, and said, "Syrians will not allow their country to be occupied by the enemies and foreigners."

Al-Halqi said that the Syrian army had over recent weeks scored successes.
