Crimes of US-backed SDF militia serve the American colonialist agendas: Grospic

PRAGUE, ((ST)- Head of the Czech Parliamentary Group for Friendship with Syria Stanislav Grospic has condemned the crimes committed by the US occupation-backed separatist militia called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)  against the locals in the areas where this militia has positions, stressing that these criminal acts serve the colonialist agenda of the United States.

In a statement to SANA correspondent in Prague on Saturday, Grospic reiterated that the SDF militia is merely a puppet of US imperialism and it blocks the Syrian army's operations for liberating the rest of the Syrian territories from terrorism, indicating that the aggressive practices of this illegal militia target the Syrian people and their interests.

Armenians President: The Turkish regime impedes peaceful settlement in Nagorno-Karabakh

YEREVAN, (ST)-President Armen Sarkissian of Armenia has stressed that the Turkish regime is the main obstacle that has impeded a peaceful settlement in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh province.

 “If Turkey is not removed from the general context, it will be very difficult to reach a peaceful settlement in Karabakh through negotiations or to return to the negotiation table within the Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe,” Sarkissian said in a statement to reporters on Friday. He affirmed that the Turkish regime is now the biggest obstacle facing the peace process and if this situation continues, Turkey will be a participant in the ongoing conflict.

Supreme Committee for Churches in Palestine urges the international community to reject Israel's settlement plan in West Bank

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, (ST)- The Supreme Presidential Committee for Churches Affairs in Palestine has  condemned the announcement of the Israeli occupation authorities of a new plan to establish 5,000 settlement units in the West Bank, pointing out that these plans are made amid the escalation of attacks and violations by the occupation against the Palestinian Islamic and Christian sanctities, especially in the occupied city of al-Quds.

In a statement reported by the Palestinian WAFA news agency, the committee affirmed that the occupation's insistence on establishing settlement units and confiscating Palestinian lands undermines all chances of establishing a Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital.

Scores of suffocation cases caused by Israeli repression of anti-settlement demonstration in the West Bank

Occupied Jerusalem (ST): Scores of Palestinians suffered from suffocation today as a result of the Israeli repression of the weekly anti-settlement demonstration in Kafr Qaddoum village which demands the opening of the street of the village that has been closed for 17 years to the east of Qalqilyeh in the West Bank.

The Coordinator of the popular resistance in Kafr Qaddoum Murad Shteiwi told WAFA news agency that the occupation troops broke into the village and used live ammunition and gas bombs against the demonstration causing and scores of suffocation cases.

Russian officials: Terrorists’ provocative chemical attacks in Syria are doomed to failure

Moscow (ST): Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Council, Pyotr Tolstoy, stressed that the recurrent terrorists’ provocations by using chemical weapons in Syria and their attempts to mislead world public opinion have become disclosed to all.

In an interview with a news correspondent in Moscow, Tolstoy said that the terrorists who try to cheat the international community through media terrorism and recurrent provocations in Syria will receive suitable punishment.

Chairman of the Foreign Affairs’ Committee at the Russian State Duma council , Leonid Slutsky, affirmed that manipulation in the chemical weapons file has been taking place for a long time, adding that any provocations in this regard to accuse the Syrian state are doomed to failure.

Slutsky added that the terrorists, who are stationed in Idleb, have been trying to carry out provocations using poisonous materials to turn the world public opinion against Syria, referring in this context to the Turkish regime’s attempts to cover up terrorist organizations in Idleb, such as Al-Nosra Front and others.
