Abdullahian: America will not enjoy stability in the region after the assassination of Soleimani

On January 19, the Special Assistant of the Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Shura Council(Parliament) Hussein Amir Abdullahian said that America will not enjoy stability in the region after the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani.

During a symposium on the political and strategic dimensions of the repercussions ofassassination of Soleimani, Abdullahian referred to the Soleimani’s important role in combating terrorism in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and the region.

Abdullahian said that the task of Soleimani was to foil the Zionist-American project which aims to create chaos in the region.

The Cyprus Presidency confirms the practice of Turkish piracy

 On January 19, Cyprus confirmed that the Turkish regime practices piracy and insists on violating international legitimacy by announcing new plans for oil and gas exploration in the eastern Mediterranean, especially in the Cypriot territorial waters.

The European Union renewed its warning to the Turkish regime against any illegal activities to explore for oil and gas in the eastern Mediterranean, especially Cypriot waters.

“Turkey has turned into a country practicing piracy in the eastern Mediterranean and insists on violating the international legitimacy. Turkey ignored the calls of the international community, especially the European Union's calls to end its illegal activities within the Cypriot waters,” the Cyprus News Agency quoted the Cyprus Presidency as saying.

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan rejected repeated European Union warnings and announced in a provocative move his intention to conduct gas exploration at Mediterranean Sea.

34 Catholic bishops call on their governments to recognize the State of Palestine

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, (ST)- A group of 34 Catholic bishops from the "Coordination with the Holy Land" Committee, that includes bishops from the churches of Europe and North America and South Africa, have called on the governments of their countries to recognize the State of Palestine.

 In a statement following their visit to the city of Ramallah and occupied al-Quds, the bishops hailed the legendary steadfastness of the Palestinian people and stressed the importance of implementing the rules of international law and recognizing the State of Palestine. They called for putting an end to the Israeli violations of human rights and the settlement building activities in the occupied territories.

Killing and wounding a number of mercenaries of the Saudi aggression in an attack by Yemeni army

San'aa, ST- A number of mercenaries of the Saudi aggression were killed and others were wounded in an attack by the Yemeni army and the popular committees in the Hajjah border district.

A military source said to Al-Masirah Net website that a unit of the army and the people's committees launched a sudden attack today on the positions of the mercenary aggression southwest of Hiran, Hajjah Governorate, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of them.

Occupation forces arrest ten Palestinians in the Occupied West Bank

Occupied al-Quds, (ST) - Israeli occupation forces arrested ten Palestinians in separate areas of the occupied West Bank.

Wafa news agency reported that the occupation forces stormed occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the towns of Beit Fajjar in Bethlehem and Al-Tirah, west of Ramallah, Tarqumiya, and al-Arroub camp in Hebron, and arrested ten Palestinians.
