Kuwait Mosque Bomber was Saudi: Kuwaiti Interior Ministry


KUWAIT- Kuwait’s Interior Ministry says the individual who carried out a recent bombing attack in a mosque in the country was a Saudi national.

In a statement carried by the official KUNA news agency on Sunday, the Kuwaiti ministry identified the assailant as Fahd Suleiman Abdulmohsen al-Qaba’a, saying he had arrived in Kuwait at dawn on Friday.

Russian, Syrian Foreign Ministers to Urge Syrian Dialogue Restart on Monday


MOSCOW (ST) — Muallem is due to arrive in Moscow on Sunday for a three-day visit, during which he is also expected to bring up the topic of counter-terrorist operations in the region, the ministry said in a statement.

"The key topic of the ministers’ June 29 meeting will be the difficult situation in Syria and around it," the statement indicated.

Iraqi Forces in Full Control Over Baiji


Iraqi troops with the support of volunteer forces have fully liberated the city of Baiji from the grip of the ISIL terrorists, a military source said.

A senior Iraqi official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, announced on Thursday that the army troops backed by popular forces have cleansed Baiji of ISIL terrorists and are now in full control over the strategic city and surrounding neighborhoods.

He added that retaking the city came after three days of fierce clashes with the Takfiri group, adding that the Iraqi flag was raised over the governor's building.

Rouhani: Iran to Proceed With Nuclear Talks Under Leader Guidance


Tehran – President Hassan Rouhani underlined that the country’s negotiating team will continue its nuclear talks with the world powers under according to the guidelines of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, according to IRNA.

“As the Leader said last night our issue is negotiations; we do not want to merely adopt a stance, but we are looking for serious talks and a fair understanding,” Rouhani said, addressing a fasting feast in Tehran.

In relevant remarks earlier this month, President Rouhani blasted the unfair sanctions imposed against the country, but meantime, underlined that they cannot force Tehran to accept the world powers' unreasonable demands.

Palestine Files War Crimes Suit against Israel at International Court

Less than three months after Palestine became a state member of the International Criminal Court (ICC) its Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki has filed two war crimes complaints against Israel, according to Sputnik International.

Al-Maliki said that the two cases, concerning Tel Aviv's illegal settlement activities in the occupied West Bank and its latest devastating war on the besieged Gaza Strip, will be submitted to the Hague-based court on June 25.
