Solution to Syrian crisis only through Syrian nation

TEHRAN – Head of Iran’s Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi asserted on Monday that the only solution to Syrian crisis is to let their nation decide their own fate, according to the Mehr News.

In his meeting with Masahisa Sato, chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Commission of Japan’s House of Councilors, Boroujerdi pointed to the history of relations between Iran and Japan and said, “Despite the geographical distance, there are many commonalities between the two countries providing grounds for the development of political, economic, cultural, and parliamentary relations.”

Coup, terrorism, Zionism, threats to global security: Official

TEHRAN, (ST)- Ali Akbar Velayati, International Adviser to Leader of the Islamic Revolution has urged Turkey to respect the option of the Syrian people and their decision to chose their own government.

In a statement to Tasnim news agency on Saturday, Velayati said" despite political differences between Iran and Turkey on some issues like the crisis in Syria we hope that Turkey would also come to respect the vote of the Syrian people and their decision to choose their own government."

Death Toll of Turkish Coup Attempt Rises to 265, More than 1,440 People Injured

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said that 2,839 soldiers and officers implicated in an overnight coup attempt have been arrested. At least 265 people have been killed, including 104 pro-coup participants, while 1,440 people were injured in military action in Istanbul and Ankara, according to RT.
