World Must Support Palestinian Armed Resistance, Says Grossman

Armed resistance can help the Palestinian people break free of occupation just as it helped other nations during World War II force Nazi occupiers to withdraw from their homelands, says Barry Grossman, an international lawyer and activist from Bali, Indonesia.

“As indeed Iran’s Supreme Leader (Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei) has repeatedly pointed out, we need to look to Palestinians for the solution and we need to support Palestinians and the Palestinian right to armed resistance,” Grossman told Press TV on Wednesday.

Iran IAEA Envoy Questions US Call for Strict Implementation of JCPOA

Tehran - Iran’s Resident Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Reza Najafi said on Wednesday that US delegation can talk about strict implementation of the JCPOA if and only if it fully complies with its obligations under the JCPOA.

Najafi made the remarks in an address to the ongoing meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors in Vienna.

“While we continue to fulfill our undertakings, we vigilantly monitor the implementation of the commitments of the other parties under the JCPOA in order to reassure the agreement is enduring,” Najafi said.

Several ISIL Commanders Killed in Iraqi Airstrike West of Mosul

The Iraqi Army aircraft targeted a key command post of ISIL in the town of Tal Afar, killing six senior commanders, including a key financial official of the terrorist group, media sources said.

The Arabic language Elam al-Harbi reported that the Iraqi aircraft pounded a command post of ISIL known as Beit al-Maal (house of treasury) in al-Mo'alemin neighborhood in Tal Afar, killing six commanders, including the Tunisian Chief of Beit al-Maal's salary committees, Abu Tabarak who was also called Abu Maryam.

According to the report, Abu Tabarak was also in charge of ISIL's economic affairs and bank accounts.

In the meantime, the Turkish military commander of Tal Afar, the chief of Beit al-Maal in Jazeera County in Nineveh province and the terrorist group's man in charge of transferring Mohajereen (immigrants) were all killed in the air raid, the al-Harbi report added.

Iran to Render Assistance to Russia’s Aerospace Operation in Syria

TEHRAN- Iran fully supports the Russian aerospace operation in Syria and will render assistance to it further on, Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan told the Fars news agency.

According to Dehghan, Tehran cooperates with Russia in supporting the legitimate Syrian authorities. "We utterly and completely support the actions of the Russian Aerospace Forces," he added, Itar Tass reported.

Ground campaigns being conducted on the Syrian territory need air support and present combat air force, and for this purpose we render assistance to Russian aircraft, particularly at Shahid Nojeh Air Base (outside of the Iranian city of Hamadan - TASS), the Minister said. "This cooperation has been present for a limited period of time on the base of their request and our reply," he said, adding that the cooperation will continue if required.

Fresh Saudi Air Raids Leave Four Civilians Dead in Northwestern Yemen

At least four Yemeni civilians have been killed and nearly a dozen others wounded in a fresh wave of Saudi aerial attacks against its impoverished and conflict-plagued neighbor, according to Press T.V.

Local sources told Arabic-language al-Masirah television network that four people lost their lives and ten others sustained injuries, when Saudi fighter jets carried out two airstrikes against a residential area in the Jabal al-Marhab mountainous region of Yemen’s northwestern province of Amran on Saturday afternoon.

Earlier in the day, Saudi warplanes launched six air raids against Harad and Midi districts in the northwestern province of Hajjah, located approximately 130 kilometers northwest of the capital Sana’a. There were no immediate reports of casualties available though.
