Rome Calls on EU to Condemn Turkish violations

BRUSSELS – Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said that the EU Foreign Affairs Council “must explicitly condemn the memoranda of understanding (MoU) signed between Turkey and Libya on delineation of maritime areas as it goes against international law and infringes on the sovereign right of third states.

Last month, the Libyan parliament denounced, the two MoU in maritime areas signed by the Libyan government with the Turkish regime because it is a violation of the constitutional declaration and the political agreement between the Libyan parties.

It is to be mentioned that the Turkish regime is conducting gas against the coast of Cyprus, despite the warnings of many international parties that considered it as an attack on the sovereignty of Cyprus and a violation of international law.
