Groshko discusses with Spanish Assistant Foreign Minister the situation in Syria and Ukraine

Madrid, (ST) -  MOSCOW - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko discussed with Spanish Assistant Foreign Minister Fernando Valenzuela the situation in Syria, Libya and Ukraine as well as Russia's relations with the European Union and NATO.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the two sides exchanged views on cooperation between Russia and Spain in the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the Council of Europe, Russia-EU relations, NATO, strategic stability, arms control and prospects, resolving the crises in Syria and Libya and the situation in Ukraine. ”

The Russian Foreign Ministry statement pointed out that the meeting took place within the framework of the political consultation plan signed in November 2018 by the Foreign Ministers of Russia and Spain, Sergei Lavrov and Josep Borrell.
