Israeli Occupation Forces Raid Ramallah City

RAMALLAH - Israeli occupation forces early Friday raided the central West Bank city of Ramallah.

Security sources confirmed that Israeli forces stormed the al-Masayef, al-Irsal and Ein Misbah neighborhoods of Ramallah, triggering confrontations with residents.

Soldiers fired tear gas and stun grenades at local youngsters who attempted to block their passage. No detention cases and injuries were reported.

Israeli occupation forces carry out frequent raids across the West Bank –including occupied al-Quds-- on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

According to Palestinian figures, roughly 5,700 Palestinians -- including numerous women and children -- are currently languishing in Israeli detention facilities.

Palestinian injured by Israeli forces after alleged ramming attack

In Bethlehem, a Palestinian driver was shot and injured by Israeli forces today outside Gush Etzion settlement bloc, south of the occupied West Bank, after he allegedly rammed his car into illegal Israeli settlers and injured two of them, according to Israeli occupation media sources.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a briefing that it was unable to get any information about the situation and identity of the driver injured.

Israeli occupation forces shut down several roads to the Palestinian traffic and held multiple checkpoints in the area following the incident.
