Army regains farms of Jisreen town in Ghouta, thwarts large-scale terrorist attack in Hama countryside

Provinces - Units of Syrian Arab Army achieved a new progress on Wednesday in regaining control over the farms surrounding Jisreen town in Eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside.

SANA said that army units eliminated the last dens of Jabhat al-Nusra in the surrounding farms of Jisreen town, adding that army started sweeping operations in the liberated farms as they fortified the military posts in them to serve as a stepping stone for the expansion of operations against terrorists in the town of Jisreen.

During the military operations, the army advanced in the southern and eastern parts of Jisreen town, which is one of terrorist groups’ hotbeds in Ghouta.

Hama

Units of Syrian Arab Army, in cooperation with backing forces, thwarted a large-scale terrorist attack on the towns of Hamamiyat and Karnaz in the northwestern countryside of Hama, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists’ ranks and equipment.

Czech Republic to Carry out Six Humanitarian Projects in Syria

PRAGUE, (ST)- The Czech republic has agreed to carry out six humanitarian projects in Syria valued at USD 1,137 million, the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Stropnicky announced in a tweet on Wednesday.

"The Czech republic seeks providing assistance to solve international crises and problems," the minister said, reiterating that this kind of humanitarian aid is more effective.

Moscow believes that the threats to Damascus to use force against Syria are unacceptable, Russia's permanent representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Alexander Shulgin has said on Wednesday after US envoy's to UN statement about readiness to act militarily on Syria.

"We regard such threats as appeals for aggression against a sovereign state in violation of all international legal norms. We consider this absolutely unacceptable," Shulgin said at a session of the OPCW Executive Council on Wednesday, according to Sputnik.

Javier Couso Urges Lifting Western Sanctions Imposed on Syria

MADRID, (ST)- Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament Javier Couso has called for halting the coercive unilateral economic measures imposed by the West on Syria, stressing that solution to the crisis in the country is the one that is based on dialogue among all parties except the terrorist organizations.

In a statement on Tuesday, Couso said the terrorists in Ghouta continue to commit crimes against civilians, shell Damascus neighborhoods with rockets and mortar rounds, use civilians in Ghouta as hostages and human shields, block opening humanitarian corridors , use chemical weapons and kidnap hundreds of citizens, including women, and put them in cages.

Evacuees from Eastern Ghouta Tell Stories about Terrorists’ Crimes

DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE– Just few hours after escaping Ghouta through the humanitarian corridors, the evacuated civilians started to tell their own stories of the years-long brutal siege by terrorist organizations positioned in Eastern Ghouta.

Citizens in Ghouta have watched with horror the true face of the terrorist organizations and experienced their takfiri agenda supported by foreign countries these organizations are serving, SANA reported.

One of the civilians told SANA’s correspondent, “The terrorist organizations that have taken over Ghouta’s towns for years, have been clearly working for the benefit of foreign parties.

Civilian martyred, three injured due to terrorist attacks with shells on Damascus and its Countryside

 

Damascus - A civilian martyred and two others were injured on Tuesday due to terrorist attacks with shells on residential neighborhoods in Damascus and its Countryside.

A source at Damascus Police Command said to SANA that a civilian martyred and another two injured due to shelling attack on Bab Sharqi and al-Zablatani neighborhoods.

Another shell fell on a house in Esh al-Warwar neighborhood causing material damage, said the source.

Four other shells fell on civilians’ houses in Jaramana, injuring a civilian and causing material damage, according to a source at Damascus Countryside Police Command.

Terrorist organizations fired ten shells on Harasta residential suburb causing material damage, the source added.

A child injured, huge destruction caused in fresh Turkish aggression on Afrin

Aleppo - A child was injured on Tuesday in a fresh Turkish forces’ bombardment on Afrin that caused a huge destruction to the properties too.

SANA said that a child had a critical injury in the Turkish regime shelling with different kinds of weapons on al-Ashrafieh neighborhood in Afrin city center.

Fierce clashes erupted between the Turkish forces and their mercenaries from one side and popular committees defending Afrin area in the villages Ma’abtlie and Jindaris areas.
