Second day of the 3rd Conference on Digital Transformation discusses transition towards digital economy

Activities of the second day of the 3rd Conference on Digital Transformation kicked off on Saturday with the participation of Arab and foreign experts and academics.

Participants will discuss several topics including transition into digital economy, open data and their economic and social impacts, strategic leadership of digital transformation, e-payment, monetary policy, the culture of digital transformation and its role in supporting the national economy and the situation of Syria's communications sector.

Minister of Communications Eyad Al-Khaltieb said that the participants will discuss digital transformation experiences in Syria's neighboring countries, best ways of e-payment.

US occupation transfers weapons, logistic materials from Iraq to its illegal base in Al-Shaddadi in Syria's Hasakah

A helicopter affiliated to the US occupation forces has transferred a number of containers, with weapons and ammunitions as well as medical and logistic materials inside, from Iraq to the US illegal base in the Syrian city of Al-Shaddadi in the southern countryside of Hasakah, according to local sources.

The sources told SANA on Saturday that the containers were transferred by several military cars to special warehouses.

International Conference on Digital Transformation highlights Syria's digital strategy

The first session of the 3rd International Conference on Digital Transformation, which was opened in Damascus on Friday, has emphasized that digital transformation is very important and necessary for countries as it reflects positively on these countries' economic and social development. Participants in this session reviewed Syria's digital transformation strategy, current capabilities, obstacles to digital integration, change management, opportunities of investment in digital transformation, the economic and financial impacts of digital transformation and its role in enhancing the  purchasing strength of the local currency and the obstacles that hamper this transformation.

Three security men martyred while performing a mission to maintain security in Daraa

Daraa (ST): Three security men were martyred today while carrying out a mission to maintain security in Daraa Governorate.

The Ministry of Interior said that three members of the Political Security were killed today at dawn in the Ghabagheb area in Daraa countryside, while carrying out a mission to maintain security in the governorate.

An attack targets a headquarters of the (SDF) militia in Deir Ezzour countryside

Deir Ezzour (ST): A number of "SDF" militants, backed by the American occupation forces, were wounded in an attack targeting one of their headquarters in the town of Al-Shuhail in Deir Ezzour countryside, which is witnessing popular anger after the militia forces seized a number of citizens' homes in the town.

Local sources  said that gunmen on motorbikes targeted, with automatic weapons, the headquarters of the“ SDF militia” in Al-Shabaka school in the town of Al-Shuhail in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzour, which led to injuries among the militia and pushed it to  immediately bring military reinforcements to the area.

The International Conference on Digital Transformation kicks off today

Damascus (ST): The works of the third session of the International Conference on Digital Transformation was launched this morning under the title of  “Syria and Digital Transformation,  Opportunities and Challenges” with the participation of a number of economic and social activities from Arab and foreign countries at the Conferences Palace in Damascus.

The conference, which will last until the 11th of this month, aims to create opportunities for investment and success, identify obstacles to implementation and mechanisms to overcome them, review the problems and obstacles of the host country in the field of digital transformation, in addition to attracting experts supervising digital transformation in the best electronic governments to benefit from their expertise through interactive lectures that will be held within the conference activities.
