Al-Miqdad, Lavrov discuss recent developments in the region

DAMASCUS, (ST)_The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Miqdad reviewed in a telephone conversation on Tuesday with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov bilateral relations and the recent developments in the region and the world.
Al-Miqdad asserted that Syria highly appreciates Russia's support for it in all international organizations and its stance towards the unilateral coercive measures being imposed by Western countries and other countries on Syria.
He pointed out that these measures contradict international law and cause damage to people.

For his part, Lavrov reiterated that the Russian President Vladimir Putin wishes a speedy recovery to President Bashal Al-Assad and Mrs. Asma Al-Assad from Covid-19.
