Al-Jaafari: Western countries fabricate lies in files related to Syria

DAMASCUS, (ST)_Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bashar Al-Jaafari, has clarified that the draft resolution submitted by Britain to the Human Rights’ Council in Geneva about  Syria comes within the agendas of some western countries, each having its role, to target Syria in both New York and Geneva.
His remarks were made during his meeting on Tuesday with the heads of missions of member states at the Human Rights Council accredited in Damascus, according to the Syrian News Agency (SANA).
The agency reported that the meeting dealt with  the British draft resolution  about the so-called “Human Rights situation in the Syrian Arab Republic.”
Al-Jaafari pointed out that western states are used to targeting  Syria through politicizing the work of UN organizations and bodies and intervening in the work of these organizations during the terrorist war on Syria by fabricating pretexts and lies in files related to human rights, chemical weapons and humanitarian aid.
He called on representatives of countries accredited in Damascus to work with their governments to put an end to the unilateral actions of some Western countries and their allies and not to support these countries in the UN meetings in line with the context of the UN Charter, which stipulates that all countries must respect the sovereignty and independence of other countries.
Al-Jaafari affirmed that some countries which adopt the policy of intervention, do not have a clean record in any of the files in which they claim that they are defending. He added that these countries practice the worst forms of resentment against  the Syrian people by imposing unilateral coercive economic measures and through their direct and indirect involvement in the terrorist war on Syria and its people, not to mention that some of them occupy precious parts of the Syrian lands and steal their national wealth.
