Syria stresses the brutal Israeli aggression on Deir Ezzour coincides with the criminal & oppressive terrorist practices of the SDF militia against the Syrian people in Al-Jazira region

Damascus (ST):  Syria affirmed that the brutal Israeli aggression on areas in Deir Ezzour governorate coincides with the criminal and oppressive terrorist practices of the SDF separatist  militia against the Syrian people in Hasaka, Deir Ezzour and Raqqa, supported by the American administration and the so-called "international coalition forces" in clear and open harmony to implement American projects and other puppet countries  , including the rogue occupation entity.

The Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a letter addressed to the  UN Secretary-General and the President of the UN  Security Council that at 1:10 am, Wednesday, January 13, 2021, the Israeli occupation authorities attacked the lands of the Syrian Arab Republic again through air strikes on Deir Ezzour and Albu Kamal.

The ministry added that the Syrian Arab Republic considers that the frequency and coincidence of the Israeli attacks with terrorist attacks once again proves  beyond any shade of  doubt that there is agreement and coordination between all the parties hostile to Syria, in order to implement their common agenda aimed at supporting and continuing the takfiri and economic terrorism and to achieve separatist projects in the region.

The ministry went on to say that the government of the Syrian Arab Republic, with the help of friendly countries and allies, affirms its determination to regain every inch of the Syrian soil, liberate it from terrorism and reconstruct what has been destroyed by terrorism.

The ministry concluded its letter  saying that the Syrian Arab Republic calls on the UN Security Council, which always affirms on respecting Syria’s sovereignty, once again to assume its responsibilities within the framework of the United Nations Charter, the most important of which is the preservation of international peace and security, to take firm and immediate measures to prevent the recurrence of these Israeli terrorist attacks, and oblige Israel to respect its decisions related to the  Disengagement of Forces Convention  and hold it accountable for terrorism and crimes committed against the Syrian people, all of which constitute flagrant violations of the United Nations Charter, provisions of international law, relevant Security Council resolutions 242, 338, 350, 497 and all international resolutions related to combating terrorism.
