International Community Should Assume Responsibilities and Contribute to Syrian Refugees' Voluntary Return: Al-Moallem

DAMASCUS – Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem on Tuesday received United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi and the accompanying delegation. The two sides discussed means of boosting the standing cooperation between the Syrian Government and the Commission, according to SANA.

Minister al-Moallem reviewed the great efforts and the important steps taken by the government for facilitating the return of the refugees and guaranteeing the improvement of their living standards particularly after the achievements of the Syrian Arab Army in liberating many areas of terrorism whether by military operations or through reconciliations, which led to the return of many families of the displaced and refugees to their villages and towns.

HAMA, (ST)- In retaliation against the terrorist groups violations of the de-escalation zone agreement in Idleb and their attacks on military points, a Syrian army unit launched intensive strikes against the positions and hideouts of the “Al-Ezza Battalions” terrorist group in Latmin town.

Scores of terrorist were killed, several others were injured and the terrorists' hideouts, positions and ammunitions were destroyed, SANA reporter said.

The source told SANA that in a new breach of the de-escalation agreement, the terrorist groups attacked Syrian army personnel deployed along al-Masasneh axis in Hama northern countryside. The terrorist groups launched the attacks from their positions in the de-escalation zones, using different kinds of weapons and exploiting the bad weather conditions, the source clarified.

HAMA, (ST)- Syrian Arab army units deployed in Hama northern countryside have repelled a terrorist attack on the army military points along al-Masasneh axis. The terrorist attack is a new violation of the de-escalation zone agreement in Syria's Idleb, according to military source.

The source told SANA that "in a new breach of the de-escalation agreement in Idleb, armed terrorist groups at dawn on Sunday attacked some military points along the al-Masasneh axis in Hama northern countryside using different kinds of weapons and exploiting the bad weather conditions in the area."
