The Army establishes control over al-Rabea’a town

Lattakia - The Army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, established control over al-Rabea’a town and al-Rawda village, about 60km northeastern countryside of Lattakia, SANA reported.

The engineering units are combing the area and dismantling the explosive devices and landmines planted by the terrorists, some of them were killed and injured by the army operation, who fled towards Turkey.

The Syrian army and armed forces, targeted on Saturday different sites and positions of terrorist organizations in several provinces of the country, killing scores of them and destroying their vehicles, SANA reported.

A military source announced establishing control over new areas in al-Sheikh Miskeen city in the northern countryside of Daraa after killing a number of terrorists.

3 civilians martyred in al-Wafidin Camp

Damascus Countryside – Three civilians were martyred as terrorists from “Jaish al-Islam” fired mortar shells at al-Wafidin Camp neighborhood near Damascus.

Seven others were reported injured in the attack that included 5 shells, SANA reported noting that a woman was among the dead and that most of the injured were women and children.

The shells, which fell in al-Thawra quarter in the neighborhood, caused material damage to the residents’ properties.

Parliament speakers of Syria and Iraq discuss anti-terrorism cooperation

Baghdad – Speaker of the People’s Assembly Mohammad Jihad al-Laham stressed the importance of Syria-Iraq cooperation in fighting terrorism.

Both countries are facing common challenges and share a common destiny, said al-Laham during a meeting with his Iraqi counterpart Salim al-Jabouri on the sidelines of the 11th session of the Conference of Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Member States (PUIC) held in Baghdad, SANA reported.

Russian Air Campaign Changes Course of Anti-Daesh War in Syria

Russia's counterterrorism campaign has long been credited with helping the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) turn the course of the war against Daesh around at a time when Damascus was struggling to contain the foreign-sponsored violent insurgency in the country, the Russian Sputnik reported.

A recently released analysis shows that Russia's involvement has helped Damascus-led forces to expand territory they control by 1.3 percent.

These gains represent a turnaround in the government's position.

Thrashed! Syrian Army Beats Back Daesh Attack Near Damascus

Syrian forces have repelled a massive offensive by Daesh terrorists in the area north of the capital Damascus, the Russian Sputnik reported.

"Earlier this morning, the ISIL launched an assault on the Syrian army's checkpoints along the Qalamoun-Sadad Road; however, these attacks were eventually repelled by the Syrian soldiers and the National Defense Forces".

On Thursday, 150 terrorists laid down their arms and surrendered to the Syrian Army as government forces continued their offensive in the eastern and western parts of Damascus province.

Provinces – The army has made new advances in northern Lattakia, taking control over new areas, with army units in other areas destroying more positions and equipment  of terrorist organizations, SANA reported.

Army units, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, established control over al-Kalouksi Mountain, Kitf al-Qamoua and the villages of al-Ghneimiyeh, al-Qalabea, Beit Sukkar, al-Oweinat, Khan al-Jouz, Beit Riha and Bradoun in the northern countryside of Lattakia province, killing and injuring more than 150 terrorists while more terrorist fled towards terrorists as their weapons and equipment were destroyed.
