Syrian Arab Army Advances in Nawa City Outside Daraa, Kills Dozens of Terrorists Outside Damascus

PROVINCES,(ST)_Army units have made progress on several axes in Nawa city outside Daraa province, killed more than 50 terrorists in Khan al-Sheih area outside Damascus and foiled terrorists’ infiltration bid from al-Dar al-Kabira into a garrison at al-Dweir junction outside Homs.

They also eliminated many al-Nusra front-linked terrorists in an operation on the northern side of al-Mliha town in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus, thwarted terrorists’ infiltration attempt from Khan Tuman into safe areas in Aleppo city and mowed down 19 terrorists in KafrTakharim outside Idleb province.

Syrian Arab Army Launches Large-Scale Operation in Daraa's Nawa City

PROVINCES,(ST)_Military sources have confirmed continuation of a large-scale operation  in Nawa city in southern Daraa provinces and foiling terrorists' infiltration bids into safe areas in Aleppo and outside Homs.

The official news agency reported today that army units started a large-scale operation against terrorist groups in Nawa city and surrounding hills in Daraa province.

Terrorists sustained heavy losses in the ongoing operation, a military source said.

PROVINCES,(ST)_Over the past 48 hours, foreign-backed terrorists have killed at least 18 civilians and wounded 39 others by mortar and missile attacks on Aleppo and Damascus countryside provinces.

According to the official news agency (SANA), the deadliest attack took place today when several missiles hit al-Ashrafeyeh quarter in Aleppo city.

The missile attack, which caused destruction of two houses in the quarter, killed almost 13 civilians and wounded 17 others, a source at Aleppo governorate told the agency's reporter.

Al-Assad Receives Message of Support from President Abbas

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ President Bashar al- Assad received yesterday a message from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, conveyed by the ambassador of the State of Palestine in Damascus Mahmoud al-Khalidi during his meeting with Dr. Faisal al-Miqdad Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

In his message, President Abbas stressed Palestinian people and leadership stand against any foreign interference in Syria and that the fate of Syria will affect the present and future of the Palestinian people, because the two brotherly peoples are partners in the present and the future.

Syrian Arab Army Conducts Concentrated Operations Outside Damascus, Thwarts Infiltration Bids into Safe Areas in Aleppo and Idleb

PROVINCES,(ST)_Intensified military operations have been carried out by army units against foreign-backed terrorist groups in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and in Jobar quarter near the capital [Damascus], according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency confirmed the death of dozens of terrorists in the operations which coincided with warding off terrorists' infiltration bids into safe areas in Aleppo and Idleb provinces and targeting many terrorist groupings in several restive areas in the two provinces.

Most of the terrorist killed in al-Mliha town, Deir alAsafir, al-Nashabeyeh farms, Harasta, Jobar and Duma in Damascus countryside were belonging to al-Nusra front.

Some 13 Shells Hit Urban Areas in Quneitra, Damascus and Countryside

PROVINES,(ST)_Foreign-backed terrorists have launched some 13 mortar shells on five urban areas in Damascus and outside Damascus and Quneitra provinces, killing at least two civilians and wounding nine others, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency quoted a source at police command as saying that six shells hit Daheyet Harasta Square in Damascus countryside where almost a civilian was martyred and three others wounded.

The mortar attack caused damages to several cars at the site.

Jaafari: geopolitics changes due to the steadfastness of the Syrian people

NEWYORK,(ST)_ Syria’s permanent representative to the UN Dr. Bashar Jaafari said that Lakhdar Brahimi resigned from his post as UN envoy and it is premature to talk about his successor, noting the mistakes happened during his tenure, including intervention in Syria’s internal affairs - a mediator does not interfere in the affairs of any sovereign state.

On statements by French Foreign Minister Jaafari told a news conference yesterday that these remarks were irresponsible in pushing for the use of force, rather than resorting to UN Charter and the principles of the international law, stressing that France is part of the problem rather than part of the solution, and that the French politics are reckless towards Libya, Egypt, Syria and in the whole the region.
