Syrian Arab Army Regains Control of Hakob Citadel Plus Town Near Aleppo Central Prison

PROVINCES,(ST)_Fresh gains have been scored by army units in the ongoing battles in the country's northern and southern provinces.

A military source declared today that the army units regained control of Hakob citadel and Hilan town near Aleppo central prison outside Aleppo province and destroyed several tunnels and trenches there.

"The army units are moving forward towards areas surrounding the prison and defusing explosive devices after they have inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists," the source said.

NAM Health Ministers Worry over Deteriorating Health Conditions in Occupied Syrian Golan

GENEVA- Peoples of the world need to enjoy equal rights as regards the access to high standard health care without discrimination, Health Ministers of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) countries have stressed.

In a statement at the end of their seventh meeting at the UN headquarters in Geneva with the participation of Syria's delegation led by Health Minister Sa'd al-Nayef, the ministers affirmed the role the Non-Aligned Movement can play in providing effective and safe medicine to the people with acceptable prices.

Vanguard Children Visit Injured Soldiers

Pushkov: Presidential election is a legitimate right, new victory for the Syrian people

MOSCOW, (ST ) _ Chairman of the International Relations Committee in the Russian Duma Alexei Pushkov stressed that the presidential elections in Syria is a legitimate right for the Syrian people and a " new victory in the record of victories of the Syrian people."

During a meeting with Syrian Ambassador in Moscow Dr. Riad Haddad, yesterday, Pushkov stressed the Russian parliamentarians are willing to keep up with the presidential elections in Syria, due on June the 3rd, indicating that a joint delegation representing the State Duma deputies and members of the Russian Federation Council will go to Syria and keep up with the process of the presidential election there."

UNRWA Lauds Syria's Efforts Hosting, Offering Aid to Palestinians

DAMASCUS, (ST) -  “For sixty six  years , Syria has been offering  facilities and services to the Palestinian refugees, and  continues to offer aid to assuage their plight in spite of the ongoing crisis the country is living through”, Pierre Krahinbuhl emphasized, the new Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.

Krahinbuhl made it clear that UNRWA is deeply concerned over the situation of the Palestinians in Syria after a large number of them have been forced to leave their camps the thing that aggravated their humanitarian crisis, particularly with regard to education, health and services.

Syrian Arab Army Continues Operations on Strategic Triangle Outside Daraa Province

PROVINCE,(ST)_The large-scale operation against foreign-backed terrorists on the strategic triangle that links Nawa, Inkhel and Jasem towns in southern Daraa province has continued, according to military sources.

The sources clarified that the operation aims at isolating the terrorist groups in the western countryside of Daraa to prevent them from linking Daraa countryside with Quneitra countryside.

They added that a tunnel- used by terrorists- in al-Sebeh quarter to the west of al-Kark quarter in Daraa al-Balad was destroyed by an army unit.

Contractors to Play Main Role in Reconstructing Syria, Al-Halqi

DAMASCUS, (ST)-Despite the global war, which has been targeting all economic and services sectors in Syria, the Syrian national economy has kept its steadfastness and balance and started preparing for launching the process of reconstruction and production in the country, Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi has stressed.

 Al-Halqi, who was speaking during the 29th Exceptional Conference of the Syndicate of Construction Contractors, held yesterday in Damascus, affirmed that contractors are to play the main role in Syria's process of reconstruction.
