Syrian Arab army destroys tunnels in Jobar quarter, kills terrorists on outskirts of Aleppo citadel

PROVINCES,(ST)_Army units have destroyed several tunnels and defused explosive devices in restive quarter near Damascus and eliminated many terrorists on the outskirts of Aleppo Citadel. 

According to the official news agency (SANA), the army units destroyed today several tunnels that had been used by terrorists to move from one place to another in restive Jobar quarter near Damascus and defused many explosive devices the terrorists planted in roads and buildings there.

Haidar Affirms Need to Develop Clear International Anti-Terrorism Policy

 DAMASCUS, (ST)-There is a need to develop a clear international anti-terrorism policy aiming to support reconciliation and dialogue efforts in Syria, particularly after the world has unanimously acknowledged the presence and danger of terrorism, Minister of State for Reconciliation Affairs Ali Haidar has stressed.

Haidar, who was speaking yesterday during a meeting with Director of the office of the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy Martin Griffiths, said “the Europeans should realize Syria’s deeply rooted history, civilization and culture and know that Syria’s strength enhances that of Europe.”

UNSC Urges Armed Groups to Leave UNDOF Positions, calls for Immediate Release of Kidnapped Peacekeepers

UNITED NATIONS-The UN Security Council yesterday urged armed groups to leave all the positions of the UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in the Syrian Golan Heights and to hand the seized weapons and equipments back to the peacekeeping force.

In a unanimously approved declaration, the Security Council renewed its condemnation of the kidnapping of 40 peacekeepers working in the Golan by al-Qaeda-affiliated group Jabhet al-Nousra and called for their immediate and unconditional release.

Syrian Arab army advances in Jobar battle from many directions

PROVINCES,(ST)_Army units have recaptured more buildings in Jobar quarter near Damascus and destroyed a network of tunnels there, according to a military source.

The source declared today that the army units continued carrying out intensified air strikes on terrorists in Jobar quarter and surrounding areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and advanced in the ongoing battle from many directions. 

ISIL massacres 15 passengers from Der Ezzour

DER EZZOUR,(ST)_ISIL has massacred 15 civilians, mostly children and women, from Der Ezzour province, the Syrian TV channel reported Wednesday.

The TV channel made clear that terrorists affiliated to the so-called the 'Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant' (former name of the IS) intercepted today a passenger bus in Shoula area outside Der Ezzour province and murdered 15 civilians from towns of Abo Hamam and al-Tayaneh in Der Ezzour countryside.

Most of the civilians killed by the ISIL-linked terrorists were children and women.

Terrorist attack on bus in Sweida kills 5 passengers

SWEIDA,(ST)_Terrorist attack on a passenger bus at administrative boundary between Sweida and Daraa have killed 5 civilians and wounded 9 others, a source at police command said on Wednesday.

The source was quoted on the official news agency (SANA) as citing that two explosive devices,planted by terrorists on Dama-Ariqa road, were exploded as a buscarrying passengers from Harran town in western countryside of Sweida to Damascus passed by.
