Syrian army retakes Ghweran quarter from ISIS in Hasaka, kills foreign mercenaries in Lattakia countryside

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has recaptured Ghweran quarter from ISIS in Hasaka and has killed foreign mercenaries in Lattakia countryside, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency reported today that army units in cooperation with popular defense groups recaptured the eastern and western edges of Ghweran quarter in Hasaka city in the wake of eliminating all ISIS groupings there.

29 persons wounded in terror attacks in Damascus suburbs

DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE,(ST)_At least 29 persons were hurt yesterday in terror attacks in Daheyet Harasta suburb and al-Wafedin camp in Damascus countryside, according to the daily Tishreen newspaper.

The paper clarified that terrorist organizations fired mortar rounds on two buses carrying employees at the Al-Bironi Hospital in Daheyet Harasta suburb, wounding 22 persons and causing damage to the buses.

Syrian Government Condolences on Primakov Demise

Al-Moallem: President Putin determined to support Syria in different fields

Moscow - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem affirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin is exerting big effort and devoting a valuable time to stop the bloodshed and restore stability to the region.

On President Putin’s invitation for a regional coalition to combat terrorism, and al-Moallem’s response that this needs a miracle, Foreign Minister told Russia today TV in an interview broadcast Tuesday that countries, which have conspired for more than 4 years against the Syrian people, supported and armed terrorists from 100 states and sent them to Syria, need a miracle to change their policy into countries that combat terrorism although UN resolutions force these countries to fight terrorism.

Syria calls on Human Rights’ Council to press Israel to comply with its legal obligations

Geneva – Syria called on the United Nations Human Rights’ Council to adopt an approach that forces the Israeli occupation entity to comply with its legal obligations towards the human rights in Palestine and the Occupied Syrian Golan.

“In spite of hundreds of resolutions adopted by the United Nations, the latest of which on the human rights in Palestine and occupied Golan, the Israeli Occupation authorities continue their systematic violations of the basic rights of the Syrian people in Golan,” Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva Hussam Eddin Ala said in a speech at the 29th Session of the Human Rights Council to discuss human rights status in Palestine and occupied Arab lands.

Syrian army and national forces defeat ISIS terrorists in Hasaka

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has defeated ISIS terrorists in Hasaka city, as military operations have continued in the countrysides of Daraa, Damascus, Idlib, Aleppo, Homs and Hama.

According to the official news agency (SANA), army units in cooperation with popular defense groups in Hasaka city recaptured Ghweran al-Sharqi quarter and cordoned off ISIS terrorists in small areas inside al-Nashweh and Villat quarters into which they infiltrated last Wednesday.

Al-Jaafari: Syria ready to cooperate with all sincere parties to improve humanitarian situation

 

New York - Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari said the Syrian government is ready to cooperate with all well-intentioned UN Security Council member states to improve the humanitarian situation in Syria, despite the fact that some member states have gone far in supporting terrorism which rendered them part of the problem, not the solution.
