Al-Jaafari: France Doesn’t Have Right to Fight ISIL inside Syria without Coordination with Syrian Government, Army

NEW YORK, (ST)- Syria’s Permanent Representative at the United Nations Bashar Al-Jaafari has underscored that “it is impossible to combat terrorism without coordination with the legitimate government in Syria and the Syrian army.

Al-Jaafari made the remarks in an interview with the Russian News Agency “Itar Tass” commenting on the air strikes France launched yesterday inside Syria.

Terror attacks kill 2 in Homs and Damascus cities

PROVINCES,(ST)_Terrorist organizations fired Sunday two rockets plus a mortar shell on Homs and Damascus cities, killing at least 2 persons and wounding over 5 others, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency quoted a source in Homs city as saying that  terrorists fired two rockets on Ekrema an d Wadi al-Dahab quarters in the city, killing 2 persons and wounding a third one.

Syrian army kills over 78 terrorists in Aleppo, Lattakia countryside

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has killed over 78 terrorists in the northern countryside of Lattakia and in Aleppo province, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency quoted a military source as saying that army units carried out today at noon qualitative operations against al-Nusra Front terrorists and other Takfiri organizations in al-Rawda and al-Mrij towns in the northeastern countryside of Lattakia where 38 terrorists, most of them were Chechen, were killed.

Syria affirms terrorism hinders development

NEW YORK, (ST)_Syria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations has underscored that wrong policies of some countries and short-sightedness towards the situation in Syria are behind the continuity of terrorism in it.

Bashar al-Ja'afari added that the involvement of some countries in fueling the crisis in Syria for achieving immoral political interests and not being serious in fighting terrorism in the region are other reasons for the spread of terrorism all over the world.

Al-Jaafari stresses terrorism is main hurdle to development


UN – Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN Bashar al-Jaafari called for including fighting terrorism in the UN post-2015 development agenda and considering it a priority for sustainable development.

Addressing the 2015 UN Sustainable Development Summit on Saturday, which adopted the agenda, al-Jaafari said terrorism is chief among other elements that are holding back development in Syria, SANA reported.

Massacre in Quneitra countryside

QUNEITRA,(ST)_ An armed terrorist group perpetrated Saturday a massacre in the northern countryside of Quneitra, killing three persons, according to a police command source.

The source said that an armed terrorist group stormed a home in al-Amal farms in the northern countryside of Quneitra and shot dead a 7-year old boy and his 70-year old grandfather plus a third person from the same family.

Syrian army intensifies strikes against terrorist organizations in 5 provinces

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has carried out intensified strikes against terrorist organizations in the countrysides of Homs, Hama, Idleb, Lattakia and Aleppo, as popular defense groups ambush terrorists in Sweida countryside.  

According to a military source, army units, backed by Syrian warplanes, killed today after noon many ISIS terrorists in al-Qaryateen city and on the outskirts of al-Shaer and Jazal fields as well as in Palmyra city in the eastern countryside of Homs.
