Italy announces its intention to ban arms exports to the Turkish regime

 Rome, (ST)- Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Mayo announced that his country intends to ban  arms exports to the Turkish regime as a result of  its aggression on Syrian territory.

Reuters reported that de Mayo stressed in a speech to parliament today the need to resolve the crisis in Syria through political means.

France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Finland and the Czech Republic have suspended all new weapons shipments to the Turkish regime after its aggression on Syrian territory.

 European Union foreign ministers in Luxembourg yesterday called on member states to consider similar restrictions amid fears of Turkish aggression escalation.
