Slovak President Warns against Creation of "Safe Zone" in Syria's Northern Region

PRAGUE, (ST)-Slovak President Zuzana Caputova has affirmed her country's full rejection of the agreement announced by the Turkish and American occupations on the creation of a so-called "safe zone" in Syria's northern region.

In a press conference on Thursday in Prague following the meeting of leaders of Visegrad Group, Caputova warned against supporting the idea about the "safe zone", pointing out that backing this plan will contribute to igniting a new conflict in the region.

Visegrad Group is a cultural and political alliance of four Central European states – the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
