Patriarch al-Absi Renews Call for Lifting Unilateral Coercive Measures Imposed on Syria

 WARSAW, (ST)-Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch of Antioch and All the East Yousef al-Absi has renewed his call for lifting the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria and for work to restore peace to the entire Syrian territory.

During his meeting on Friday with President of Poland Andrzej Duda at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, Patriarch al-Absi said the unilateral coercive measures on Syria should be lifted as they badly affect the living of the Syrian people in the first place. He also urged Poland to play a role in solving the crisis in Syria.

 On his part, President Duda stressed his country's commitment to preserve diversity in the Middle East through tackling and eliminating the reasons that lead people to leave their countries. He expressed his country's readiness to practically and politically help put an end to immigration and to enable people stay in their homeland.
