Syrian Women: President al-Assad’s Visit to Frontlines in E. Ghouta a ‘Declaration of Victory’

President Bashar al-Assad’s visit to the frontlines in Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and his meeting with civilians liberated from the terrorists in Ghouta by Syrian army reflected the unity of Syrian people and their leader and it was a declaration of victory over foreign-backed terrorist organizations and their supporters in the Ghouta.

This is what a group of Syrian leading women stressed in statements to the Syriatimes e-newspaper via WhatsApp.

Chairperson of Leading Women’s Commission, Major Daed Kanou, said that President Bashar al-Assad’s visit to the front fire lines in the East Ghouta of Damascus proves the unity of the Syrian people and the cohesion between the commander and the soldiers who represent all components of Syrian society.

 She referred to the soldier, who evacuated his mother from the East Ghouta with the help of his comrades. “This is a real indicator of the fact that terrorism has never been existed in the Syrian society, rather, it has been brought from some western countries in member in NATO, including Turkey, which occupied Afrin region today and displaced innocent people to Nobbul and Zahraa areas.”

On her part, Dr. Ruba Mirza, a pharmacist and founder of ‘Trust’ initiative and the 'Civil Syria' Association, said: “President Bashar al-Assad today announced victory…His visit to the front lines in the Eastern Ghouta means strength, trust, steadfastness and faith in the homeland.”

While Dr. Feryal Reslan, Chairperson of National Business Center for Human and Administrative Development in Damascus, said that President al-Assad is a soldier fighting on all fronts. “We love him and we are proud that Syria has such a brave leader. He is one of the Syrian people and he is living with us, so we will triumph.”

Another statement was made by the Member of the Baath Arab Socialist Party’s Regional Leadership Dr. Shahnaz Fakoush, who asserted that President Bashar al-Assad is the leader of the nation and that he has changed history. “The destiny of President al-Assad and the Syrian people and army is to defend the nation against terrorism.”
