Syrian Army Didn't Target Civilians, Hospitals in Idleb Countryside: Foreign Ministry

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Syria has absolutely refuted Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization's allegations that the Syrian Arab army has targeted hospitals and civilians in Idleb countryside, criticizing the French Foreign Ministry's adoption of these allegations.

An official source at the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates told SANA on Thursday that the Syrian Arab Republic is a astonished by the French Foreign Ministry's insistence to continue its campaign to mislead the French public opinion about what is going on in Syria, stressing that the French side exploits the humanitarian situation as to cover the failure of its policies towards Syria.

"By adopting Jabhat al-Nusra claims, the French Foreign Ministry has proved itself to be ignorant about what is going on in Idleb countryside. It should have realized that Jabhat al-Nusra  has been listed as a terrorist organization by the United Nations and that what the Syrian Arab army is doing there is an operation to liberate the area from the terrorism of Jabhat al-Nusra  and its affiliated terrorist groups," the source said.

"Syria absolutely denies targeting hospitals and civilians in Idleb and it is astonished that the French Foreign Ministry has adopted the allegations of Jabhat al-Nusra on this issue. Syria also stresses that this terrorist organization is not a party in Astana process, thus those who keep ensuring a cover to this terror group are openly supporting its terrorism in a flagrant violation of international legitimacy resolutions.
