Syria Refuses to Allow Access for Turkish Humanitarian Aid to Aleppo without Coordination with Syrian Government and U.N.

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The Syrian Arab Republic announces its refusal to allow access for humanitarian assistance, particularly from the Turkish regime, to Aleppo without coordination with the Syrian government and the United Nations, a source at the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Tuesday.

The source was commenting on remarks made by the Turkish regime about its intention to send what it claimed to be humanitarian assistance to the city of Aleppo.

The source also said that Syria considers any operations by Turkish air force over the Syrian territories under the pretext of fighting "Deash"  and without coordination with the Syrian government and the Russian operation Command as an aggression on Syria and a blatant violation of the country's sovereignty, therefore, Syria will retaliate against such an aggression to defend its national sovereignty by all possible means.

Since the very beginning of the crisis in Syria, Turkey has supported the terrorist organizations by sheltering, arming and funding them and by facilitating the infiltration of terrorists and mercenaries coming from all over the world into Syria to kill the Syrians and destroy their country, the source said.

It concluded by stressing that Turkey doesn't have the right to claim that it is keen on the Syrian people's interest and that it is fighting terrorism particularly in Aleppo, because its support for the terrorists there was unlimited and it caused the killing of innocent people and huge destruction in the city.
