MUSCAT,(ST)_Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem has reviewed with his Omani counterpart Yousef bin Alawi the crisis in Syria and the international and regional roles in it.
The two sides agreed that the time has come to unify constructive efforts to put an end to the crisis in Syria on the basis of meeting Syrians' aspirations and preserving Syrian territories' unity and sovereignty.
They are going to continue cooperation and coordination to achieve the common goals of the Syrian and Omani peoples and leaderships.
The Syrian minister conveyed during the meeting president Bashar al-Assad's greetings to the Sultan of Oman, according to the official news agency (SANA) .
The agency reported earlier today that al-Mo'allem arrived in Muscat upon the initiative of Alawi.
Al-Mo'allem 's visit to Oman is the first to one of the Gulf Cooperation Council's member, which has not cut its diplomatic relations with Syria.
