TEHRAN,(ST)_ Iran 's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi discussed with his  Egyptian counterpart Mohamed Kamel Amr the  situation in Syria and the region.

The two sides stressed , in a telephone talk, on Monday  the need to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria through national dialogue.

The two sides agreed to hold the next meeting of the Member States "Iran, Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia," on the crisis in Syria in the near future at the level of Foreign Ministers.
