Layer Cake with Vanilla


3 cup flour

4 large eggs

1 tbsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

2 cup melted butter,

2 cup granulated sugar

2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2cup milk

Red food coloring


1- Preheat the oven to 350.

2- Mix together in a bowl flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and Whisk them

In another bowl beat butter and sugar until creamy, add flour and milk and give a stir, then beat in eggs and vanilla, add flour mixture and stir to blend

3- Remove 1/3 of the batter to a separate bowl, this will be your white layer. To the remaining batter, add enough drops of red food color to get a vivid red. Pour red batter into 2 of the prepared pans and the white batter in the remaining third pan

4- Bake about 12 to 15 minutes, then remove and cool completely before frosting.
