Syria’s Sovereign Right to Restore Entirety of Golan Non-Negotiable: Ambassador Ala

GENEVA – Ambassador Hussam Eddin Ala, Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva, said that the people of the occupied Syrian Golan are still committed to their homeland and their Syrian identity, despite the methodical violations of their basic rights at the hands of the Israeli occupation which seeks to sever their ties with their motherland, according to SANA.

In a statement at the 40th Human Rights Council session on Monday, Ala said that the discriminatory punitive practices of the Israeli occupation against the people of the Golan are a blatant violations of civil, economic, and social rights.

SANA said that Ala noted that the occupation has escalated its attempts to consecrate its occupation of the Golan and have its illegal decision to annex it be acknowledged, with increasing attempts to impose its laws on the people of the occupied Golan as well as increasing settlement activities.

Solidarity Stand in Quneitra to Support Syrian Citizens in Golan against Zionist Projects

QUNEITRA- Popular, civil and official figures staged on Monday a sit-in at Quneitra crossing to show solidarity with Syrian citizens in the occupied Syrian Golan against practices of the Zionist entity which aim to loot properties of the families in the villages of Majdal Shams, Baqa’ata and Mas’a’da, SANA reported.

The Israeli occupation authorities seek to set up air turbines on the farmers’ properties to confiscate their lands and Judaize the Golan.

A number of the participants in the solidarity stand told SANA that families of Golan and Quneitra are very determined to continue struggle until liberating the whole territory of Golan and raise the Syrian flag on that land.

People of Occupied Syrian Golan Reject Occupation’s Procedures to Substitute Property of Their Lands

QUNEITRA-Citizens of the occupied Syrian Golan affirmed their rejection of all racial practices perpetrated by the Israeli occupation authorities that aim to loot and confiscate the lands of Syrian citizens, substitute their properties and real-estate documents of the villages of Majdal Shams, Baka’ata, Ayn Qenia, Mas’ada and al-Ghagar in the occupied Golan, SANA reported.

A number of Golan citizens, affirmed in telephone calls with SANA reporter in Quneitra, that the Israeli occupation policy aims at confiscating and looting the lands which are owned by citizens of Golan under fake pretexts.

Sidqi al-Maqt Enters 32nd Year of Imprisonment in Israeli Occupation Jails

QUNEITRA- After serving 27 consecutive years of imprisonment in the Israeli jails, Syrian prisoner Sidqi al-Maqt, from Majdal Shams town in the occupied Syrian Golan, enters today his fifth year in detention after he was re-sentenced, SANA reported.

Israeli occupation authorities arrested al-Maqt, the longest-serving Syrian Arab prisoner in Israeli jails, on February 25th, 2015 after he unveiled the direct support provided by the Israeli entity to the armed terrorist organizations fighting the Syrian Arab Army in Syria.

37th Anniversary of National Strike against Israel’s Annexation of Golan Marked

Quneitra – People of Quneitra and the occupied Syrian Golan commemorated on Thursday the 37th anniversary of the 1982 National Open Strike, SANA reported.

The strike, which was staged on the 14th of February 1982 and lasted for six months, came to declare rejection of the Israeli occupation authorities’ decision issued on December 14, 1981 to annex the occupied Syrian Golan and impose Israeli laws on its people.

Participants in the a festival held in Ein al-Tina site, overlooking the occupied Majdal Shams town, affirmed that Golan is a Syrian Arab land and is an integrated part of the Syrian sovereignty, adding that Golan will remain Syrian despite all the Zionist racial practices aimed at Judaizing and annexing it to the Zionist entity.
