Al-Maqt: People of occupied Syrian Golan won’t allow the occupation to implement its turbine scheme on their lands

 Sidqi al-Maqt, a liberated Syrian captive, has reiterated that the people of the occupied Syrian Golan will continue to defend their lands whatever the sacrifices are and they will never allow the Israeli occupation to implement its settlement scheme that aims at building wind turbines on their agricultural lands.

“The Israeli occupation forces intensified their presence in the occupied Syrian Golan with the aim of seizing agricultural lands on which they want to implement their settlement scheme,” Al-Maqt, who was among the citizens of the occupied Syrian Golan who massed themselves in the roads leading to their agricultural lands to protest against the Israeli plan to install wind turbines on their farmlands, said in a statement to the Syrian TV on Monday.

He added that the locals will not accept and will not allow the Israeli authorities to implement this scheme, whatever it costs.

“This is Syrian Arab land,” he reiterated.

Israeli occupation closes entrances of occupied Syrian Golan villages, prevents citizens from reaching their farmlands where it plans to build giant illegal turbines

The Israeli occupation forces on Monday closed the main entrances of some villages in occupied Syrian Golan and prevented the citizens from reaching their agricultural lands where the occupation plans to illegally install huge wind turbines

People in the occupied Syrian Golan massed themselves in the roads leading to their farmlands to protest against the Israeli occupation authorities’ plan to build giant turbines in the occupied towns of Majdal Shams, Sheita, Baq’ata and Mas’ada, SANA reporter in Quneitra said, citing a source from the occupied Golan.

The source pointed out that a state of anger has prevailed among the locals who scattered in their lands to prevent the occupation from installing the turbines.

Al-Maqt: Palestinian detainee al-Akhrass represents example to be followed in resistance & steadfastness

Occupied Syrian Golan (ST): The liberated captive Sedqi al-Maqt has affirmed that the Palestinian detainee Maher al-Akhrass, who has been on a hunger strike for the 89th consecutive day in protest against the Israeli occupation criminal practices with detainees, represents an example to be followed in resistance and steadfastness and challenging the arrogance of occupation.

He added that al-Akhrass has born with his strong will the ugliest practices of the occupation authorities against our people in occupied Palestine and the occupied Syrian Golan.

Al-Maqt went on to say that al-Akhrass asked him in a previous telephone call to convey his greetings to Syria’s people, army and leadership, stressing that Syria is the main sponsor of the Palestinian resistance, and that the Syrian people are suffering from the US economic blockade because of Syria’s stand in support of the Palestinian cause.

Syrian citizens in the occupied Syrian Golan have asserted their commitment to set out on in the march of resilience until liberating the occupied lands and restoring them safe to the Homeland.
Freed captive, Sidqi al-Maqt, said in phone conversation with the Syrian News Agency (SANA) on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of October liberation war that citizens of the occupied Golan have confidence in the inevitability of liberating every inch of the occupied lands by the will of the heroes of the Syrian Army, who foiled the US-Zionist plot and its terrorist mercenaries.

The UN adopts resolution documenting Israeli aggressive practices against Golan people

New York (ST): The UN Economic and Social Council has unanimously adopted a resolution that documents the aggressive practices of the Israeli occupation and the adverse economic and social consequences of these practices on the people of the  Golan and the Palestinians in the occupied Arab territories.

Forty seven states voted in favor of the resolution, three states ( the US, Canada and Australia) objected while four states abstained.

Syria's permanent representative to the meeting Majd Nayal expressed high appreciation  of the Syrian government to the report submitted by the UN economic and social committee in Western Asia ESCWA which documented the adverse consequences of the Israeli occupation on the Golan people and the Palestinians in the occupied Arab territories.
