Arab and Syrian writers and researchers document bright history of President Bashar Al-Assad

A group of Syrian and Arab writers, politicians, soldiers, and clerics wrote a biography of resistance, steadfastness, and national visions pursued  in protecting the homeland, the rights and the existence of the nation. They documented the bright history of Syria's steadfastness, represented by the positions of President Bashar al-Assad, his principled stands and his leadership of the country in the midst of adversity.

Dr. Najah Al-Attar, Vice President of the Syrian Arab Republic, made a presentation of  the book (The Leader Al-Assad… Bright Pages from the History of Resilience), which she supervised . In her presentation, she stated that President al-Assad pursued the policy  of  struggle in thought, enlightenment, creativity, boldness, valor and cohesion with the national resistance forces with a conviction that victory is coming and that the goals of the struggle are to be achieved and that new pages of history, in which the Syria regains its first life, will begin.

Dr. Al-Attar pointed out that “President Al-Assad has continued in all his speeches and words, elevating us to future horizons that are drawn with the right perception and anticipation of the future .His deep thinking , brave heart and conscience set us on the right path. The role played by his leadership is extremely important and influential in the current difficult phase of the entire Arab nation as  he is a  great and experienced leader.

Dr. Al-Attar affirmed, “President al-Assad possesses characteristics that make him the most efficient in understanding the needs of his nation and its emerging issues in the face of Arab and foreign policies camouflaged by misleading ideologies that practice arbitrariness and intolerance and the continuous attempts to undermine our personality and dispossess our freedom and our land.

The 544-page book issued by the General Syrian Book Organization included articles by 28 Syrian, Palestinian, Jordanian, Lebanese, Egyptian, Tunisian and Moroccan personalities.

Former Lebanese Foreign Minister Dr. Adnan Mansour wrote in an article entitled (The Leader of Syria and its Fate): over the years of the war imposed on Syria, the foreigners and Arabs conspirators against it were betting on the inevitable fall of the Syrian state and considering it a matter of time. But President al-Assad did not abandon his people, land and sovereignty. His excellency  did not give up for a moment Syria’s adherence to its firm principles and the causes of its just nation, chiefly Palestine. Mr. Al-Assad did not engage in projects of normalization with the enemy, but rather supported the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon to confront the policies of the forces of authoritarianism and exploitation.

The head of the Lebanese People’s Movement and one of the most prominent founders of the Arab Progressive Front, the Lebanese politician Najah Wakim wrote an article entitled (President Bashar al-Assad, the phase and the man). He emphasized that since twenty years ago the fiercest political battles have been taking place in the region during which Syria represented Stalingrad in  this world war.

The official spokesman for the Arab Progressive Front, Dr. Ali Boutouala from Morocco, indicated in the article (Syria from the military victory over the international coalition to societal reconstruction) that Syria's steadfastness and victory over the multi-state and multinational aggression is a historic achievement that led the aggressors to try to undermine it to compensate for their defeats and the fall of their project. This is clearly manifested in the American administration’ endeavor to escalate the economic war against Syria. Nonetheless,  the Syrian leadership, just as it managed the war wisely and intelligently, will succeed in pulling the country out of destruction by adopting economic intelligence.

Secretary-General of the Tunisian Popular Movement Dr. Muhammad Zuhair Hamdi, in his article entitled (Syria… the struggle of a leader and a people), underlined the importance of the military establishment to protect the national achievement. The Syrian Arab Army formed an ideal model for strong national armies and stressed the impossibility of an objective separation between defense, economic and social policies and an independent political decision of  the state. The Syrian army  highlighted membership of the relation between the national armies and the sovereign national project.

The Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab and Islamic Gathering to Support the Resistance Option, Dr. Jamal Ali Zahran from Egypt, wrote an article entitled  (Syria is the fortress of steadfastness and resistance and the platform for changing the international system). In his article, he reviewed the reasons for the American-Zionist conspiracy against Syria, including its leadership of the resistance movement, its reluctance for reconciliation or recognition of the occupation entity and its confrontation of the Zionist American project. Syria’s  great  military capabilities and regional influence as well as its possession of self-sufficiency in all food commodities made it immune to external pressure on political decision-makers.

In his article (Dr. Bashar Hafez Al-Assad, the title, the captain and the safety valve),  Dr. Radi Al-Shuaibi, founder of the Union of Palestinian Communities, Institutions and Activities in the Diaspora, recalled the details of the interview he made with President Al-Assad during a conference for expatriates hosted by Damascus. He underscored the details he extracted related to the thought and personality of President Al-Assad; namely his strong will, his courage, his adherence to  Arabism and his high scientific, historical and geographical education, and his affirmation of his loyalty to the ideas and words of the founding president Hafez al-Assad regarding Jerusalem and Palestine.

Father Elias Zahlawi, noted that President Al-Assad has been  facing many plots aiming at uprooting Syria since twenty years, but he is still steadfast and calm, deriving his strength from Syria, pointing out that “Syria, which is debilitated since  ten years ago, stands rallying around  its leader.

In an article entitled (The Syrian President and Confronting the Aggression),  Assistant Secretary General of the Arab Lawyers Union, lawyer Samih Khreis from Jordan, raised  the question about the secret of the resilience of the Syrian state, then he  answered by saying that it lies in the courage and  sophistication of President Bashar al-Assad, in the professionalism of the Syrian Arab Army and in the legacy of the founder, Hafez al-Assad.

Member of the Arab Writers Union, Dr. Nadia Khost, stated in an article entitled (Correct Strategy and Elegant Performance) that when Bashar Al-Assad was elected as President of the Syrian Arab Republic, this coincided with the domination of the Western camp internationally and the global imbalance in favor of the Zionist occupation entity and the acceleration of some Arab regimes to normalize with it and invade Iraq.  President Al-Assad confronted the American administration’s endeavor to impose the map of the new Middle East plus the multi-form war that Syria has been subjected to in the last ten years with the firm Syrian constants and with the association of the Syrian Arab Army with the state and the people.

A member of the Syrian Constitutional Committee, the writer Anisa Abboud pointed out in her article entitled (President Bashar al-Assad, belonging and identity) that what is happening in Syria currently in terms of killing, sabotage and bloodshed happened previously at the hands of invaders like the Tatars, Ottomans, French, Zionists and Americans. But the Syrian people still confirmed their affiliation to their Arab identity by which they are    identified. They gave the world an example in belonging to the homeland and defending the land, values and constants and that the compass will remain pointing  to Palestine, the identity will remain Arab, and the resistance is glory and dignity.

Researcher in political, legal, military and strategic affairs, Brigadier General Dr. Amin Hoteit from Lebanon, documented the positions and performance that defined the stage of President Al-Assad in facing the challenges of aggression against Syria. He shed light on President Al-Assad’s confrontation of major strategic challenges that were evident in Syria’s strategic position in the axis of resistance and the relationship with Lebanon, the Arab Peace Initiative, the American occupation of Iraq, the July war, and the aggression against Syria.

The rest of the testimonies which were profound in their propositions, dealt with the events that Syria experienced, coinciding with the leadership of President Al-Assad of the country since 2000. They cast light on Al-Assad’s support for the Arab resistance movements, his defense of Syria, his confrontation of aggression, his firm stance on Palestine, his affirmation of belonging and identity, and his belief in Syria's pioneering Arab pivotal role.
