Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade to form the Syrian-Emirati Business Council

Damascus, (ST) - The Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade has decided to form the Syrian-Emirati Business Council with the aim of activating the role of the private sector in developing economic cooperation between the two countries in its entire commercial, industrial, agricultural and tourism fields.

 The decision aims to develop cooperation in the investment field and the reconstruction of Syria by benefiting in particular from the advantages and incentives included in the new Investment Law No. 18 of 2021, thus opening a wide scope for many opportunities and areas of joint cooperation.

The decision included naming Ghazwan Al-Masry as chairman of the council and Anas Maatouk as vice-chairman, and the Emirati side is scheduled to form the counterpart council, according to the ministry's clarifications.
