Syria, Belarus Sign Seven Documents on Cooperation in Investment, Information, Higher Education, Agriculture and Health

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Syria and Belarus on Friday signed seven documents on cooperation in the fields of investment,  information, higher education, agriculture and health at the conclusion of the seventh meeting of the Joint Committee for Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation which was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus.

The committee, which represents a number of ministries and institutions from both sides, held talks over the past two days that focused on cooperation in agriculture, Industry, trade, health, social affairs, communications and transport.

 Following the signing of the protocol of the committee's meetings, Head of the committee for the Belarusian side, Industry Minister Utiupin Pavel Vladimirovich, expressed his country's interest in reaching an agreement between the Syrian and Belarusian businessmen, saying that the two sides of the committee agreed on holding the meeting of the Syrian-Belarusian Businessmen Council before the end of this year and also on sending Syrian children to Belarus to participate in educational and entertainment camps and on presenting scholarships to Syrian university students.

On his part, head of the Syrian side, Minister of Public Works and Housing Suheil Abdulatif  reiterated the need to intensify the work to follow up the implementation of what has been agreed on.
