Lebanese President Calls for Facilitating the Return of Syrian Refugees

NEW YORK, (ST)-Lebanese President Michel Aoun has called on world leaders to work hard as to facilitate the return of the displaced Syrians to their homeland, stressing that the Syrian government has created all the circumstances necessary for this purpose.

In a speech during the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Wednesday, Aoun said that the situation in most Syrian areas has become stable, creating suitable circumstances for the safe return of the displaced, pointing out that the Syrian government has always announced that it welcomes the return of the Syrian refugees.

Journalists from 60 Media Outlets in Asia, Europe, Latin America Visit Liberated Towns in the Countryside of Hama and Idleb

HAMA,  (ST)- A delegation representing some 60 media outlets in Europe Asia and Latin America on Wednesday visited several towns in the southern countryside of Idleb and the northern countryside of Hama to see the situation on the ground in these towns after the Syrian army had liberated them from terrorism.

The reporters also checked the basic services rendered by the government to returnees.

Former American Ambassador Says Saudi Regime More Dangerous than Terrorists Exported

Washington, (ST) - Former US ambassador to Riyadh Robert Jordan said that the danger of the Saudi regime has become greater than the threat posed by terrorists that they are exporting to the world.

Jordan said in an article published on Politico website that the attack on Saudi oil facilities claimed by the United States, Britain, Germany and France that Iran carried out revealed the extent of deterioration in the Middle East situation, in addition to the role played by the Saudi regime in the disastrous war against civilians in Yemen.

US and Turkish intimidation practices

The illegal US and Turkish presence on Syrian territories has been one of the main obstacles hindering the settlement of crisis in Syria and ending terrorist activities in the region, because the two regimes are the main supporters of terrorist groups operating in Syria.

There is a need to eliminate the US and Turkish occupations of Syrian territories and to end their aggressive practices in supporting terrorism and their atrocious crimes against innocent and defenseless Syrians and public and private properties.

74th Session of UN General Assembly Kicks off with Participation of Syria

NEW YORK, (ST)- The 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) kicked off on Tuesday with the participation of leaders and representatives of the member countries including Syria.

Syria's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Walid al-Moallem will lead the Syrian delegation to  the event. Al-Moallam is due to deliver Syria's statement at the UNGA meeting on Saturday, September 28th , according to SANA. He will explain Syria's stance on all issues and developments relating to the situation in Syria and the region.

In the opening speech, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres criticized foreign interference in the internal affairs of countries, stressing that such behavior violates the Security Council resolutions, creates conflicts and hinders achieving stability in the world.
