Syrian Embassy in Moscow Celebrates 75th Anniversary of Establishing Syrian-Russian Diplomatic Relations

MOSCOW– The Syrian Embassy in Moscow held a celebration marking the 75th anniversary for establishing diplomatic relations between Syria and Russia.

Syria’s Ambassador in Moscow Riyad Haddad said in a speech that the history of bilateral relations is rich with celebratory events of sovereignty and dignity, referring to the bilateral cooperation in confronting terrorism as an example, according to SANA.

Syria Rejects Any US-Turkish Deal That Constitutes Flagrant Aggression against Syrian State's Sovereignty, Territorial Integrity

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Syria reaffirms its absolute rejection of any form of US-Turkish deals that constitute a flagrant aggression on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic and a blatant violation of international laws and UN Charter, an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement to SANA on Friday.

The source's remarks came after Turkey said it will continue to discuss the planned demilitarization zone in northern Syria with the US and following its threats of launching a new cross-border incursion into the Syrian territory.

"The Turkish regime plans to launch aggression on Syria under the pretext of securing its national security, but such a pretext is belied by the behavior and policies of this regime which is still forming the main base for terrorism and a key provider of logistic support for the terrorists," the source made it clear.

Washington Blocks UNSC Draft Resolution Condemning Israel’s Demolition of Palestinian Homes

The US has once again abused its veto power to block a UN Security Council (UNSC) draft resolution that would condemn Israel’s demolition of Palestinian homes on the edge of the occupied al-Quds earlier this week, Press TV reported.

Kuwait, Indonesia and South Africa had circulated the draft statement to the 15-member Security Council on Tuesday, which would formally condemn Israel's demolition of Palestinian homes. It would also express “grave concern” and warn that the demolitions undermine the prospect for the so-called two-state solution to the decades-long conflict between Israelis and Palestinians.

Tunisia’s Essebsi Dies Aged 92

TUNIS- (TAP) –Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi passed away on Thursday around 10.25 a.m. at the Tunis Military Hospital, announces the Presidency of the Republic in a brief press release, according to Agence Tunis Afrique Press (TAP).

Caid Essebsi, was born November 29, 1926 in Sidi Bousaïd, in the northern suburbs of Tunis.

"President of the republic Beji Caid Essebsi passed away on Tuesday morning, July 25, 2019, at 10 hours and 25 minutes in a hospital in Tunis," said the press release.

1216 Service Projects Executed in Aleppo and Its Countryside since Its Liberation from Terrorism

ALEPPO- The number of projects which have been implemented since the liberation of Aleppo city’s neighborhoods and it countryside from terrorism reached 1216 projects, including power, water and drainage networks, schools, health centers , bakeries, and irrigation projects as part of government measures to rehabilitate infrastructures and services in the province, according to SANA.

A total of 247 additional projects were implemented in coordination with organizations, including schools , health centers, water drainage projects, solar lighting posts according to a report of the committee tasked with following up service and development projects in Aleppo province.
