Iraq's Foreign Minister Says His Country Doesn't Recognize Trump's Declaration on Occupied Syrian Golan

AMMAN, (ST)- Iraq's Foreign Minister Mohammad Ali al-Hakim has affirmed that Iraq doesn't recognize US President Donald Trump's declaration on occupied Syrian Golan, reiterating that Golan is a Syrian territory and the international resolutions recognize the Syrian State's sovereignty over this land.

In a statement to "Russian Today" on the sidelines of his participation in a quartet meeting of the foreign ministers of Jordan, Iraq, Greece and Cyprus in Amman, al-Hakim said that Trump's declaration is a unilateral step that violates international legitimacy.

 Al-Hakim hailed Russia's support for Syria in the fight against terrorism and its cooperation with Iraq in fighting Daesh terrorist organization.
