'Rad al-Qada'a' Movie by Najdat Anzour Depicts National Unity against Terrorism

Renowned Syrian Director Najdat Anzour has said that his new movie 'Rad al-Qada'a' [ward off fate] depicts the Syrians' national unity and the removal of terrorists’ illusions.

Speaking to the official news agency (SANA) after the official premier of the movie in Damascus Opera House on Friday, Anzour clarified that the language of the movie is simple and it is based on real stories.

He referred to the role of cinema in depicting the reality of events taking place in Syria.

‘Homeland’s Memory’ exhibition in Citadel of Damascus

Souvenir photos, medals  and stamps of Damascus International Fair –since 1950s till 2007- plus handmade crafts are being displayed in ‘Heritage and Documentation’ Exhibition, which is being held in the Citadel of Damascus.

The three-day event, kicked off Monday under the title ‘Homeland’s Memory’, proves steadfastness of the Syrian people, who are still working despite crisis the country is going through, Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Adeeb Mayyaleh told the official news agency (SANA).

Aleppo Artists Make Beauty Despite Pain

Presidential Media and Political Advisor Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban has stressed that the Syrian citizens' adherence to their history, civilization and identity is behind homeland's steadfastness.

On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the exhibition held Saturday in 'Aleph Noon' gallery in Damascus under the title 'Aleppo is our destination', Shaaban told reporters that she heard from artists participating in the exhibition the secret of the steadfastness of the Syrian citizens and the city of Aleppo.

15 Artists to Take Part in ‘Aleppo Is Our Destination’ Exhibition

Around 15 visual artists from Aleppo will take part in an exhibition to be held Saturday in “Alef Noon” Gallery in Damascus under the title ‘Aleppo is Our Destination”.

The exhibition, to be held in cooperation with Ministries of Culture and Tourism, aims to remind Syrian people- who are interested in arts - of art movement in Aleppo and its role in cultural field, according to the Gallery’s Director Mr. Bade’a Jahjah.
