Defense Minister: Syria, with its army, people and leadership is capable of overcoming the battlefield challenges no matter how difficult they are
Damascus- Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, Minister of Defense, General Ali Mahmoud Abbas has stressed that Syria, with its army, people and leadership, and with the support of its allies and friends, is capable of overcoming the field challenges, no matter how difficult they are. He has stressed that the Syrian Arab Army will not hesitate to restore security and safety to the areas occupied by terrorists.
In a televised statement on Thursday, Gen. Abbas said “today, we are waging a fierce battle against the most brutal terrorist organizations that use gang tactics. This leads our armed forces to use certain appropriate methods in fighting these organizations, including repositioning, especially since these takfiri organizations are backed by regional and foreign countries, that have become well-known to all and that have provided the terrorists with full military and logistical support”. He hailed the people’s high morale and great awareness.
“We are in a good field situation and our armed forces have worked to redeploy to protect citizens’ lives. Military action, and in the context of battle tactics, sometimes requires redeployment and repositioning. Syria, with its army, people and leadership and with the support of its allies and friends, is capable of overcoming the field challenges no matter how difficult they are,” he clarified.
He added that “after our armed forces redeployed outside the city of Hama to protect the lives of civilians and after the terrorist organizations entered the city, these organizations are now working to exploit this event in the media through a misleading campaign against our people and our armed forces, with the aim of spreading chaos. Therefore, these organizations may resort to issuing false statements or orders in the name of the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces, or publishing audio recordings or fabricated videos, using artificial intelligence technology.
General Abbas called on the Syrian people, civilians and military, to be aware of the dangers of this misleading campaign, not to believe it, and to adhere to what is published exclusively through official national channels.
He called on the people in Syria to keep patient and steadfast, and to be confident that the army will not hesitate to restore security and safety to the areas occupied by terrorists, and it will remain, as it has been throughout the years of war on Syria, the impregnable dam in the face of anyone who dares to harm the security of the homeland.
